I read through it quickly in the shop. I must've missed that. Thanks.E said:MwoF - Iron Man asked him if it was "Michael" and he said yes.
I guess so. I hope it eats her from the inside out and she dies tomorrow.E said:So are we to assume that Carol Danvers has just absorbed the collected energy of all former energy-based mutants?

Rhyo said:Actually, he asked him more specifically if he was Michael KORVAC and the reply was just "Michael". So that one isn't clear - although WHY would they give a new threat the same name as the old one? Wait, this is Marvel, with 11 Spider-people and two Jessicas in the same series...
And, come ON, all the "former" Avengers who live on the east coast and Cap wants Daisy Johnson? She isn't even a good threat match...
E said:I wasn't aware that it was "Michael Korvac". That makes sense.
Rhyo said:I'm not actually sure that "The Collective" is Michael Korvac, but that was Iron Man's first thought (and mine). Which could be bad, because the first time the Avengers tangled with Korvac he killed them all without much effort at all. Of course, then he brought them all back to life...
My best guess is that the new bad guy is actually a collective of Greatest Cosmic Bad Guy Hits - because, well, he's called "The Collective", which was my first hint that it's more than one thing.
TheManWithoutFear said:First I'd like to say that anyone who thought Luke Cage under the pen of Bendis was lame can kiss my hairy white ***. You'll love it too.
I was even reading through Bendis DD run last night and thought how cool Cage was and now in today's issue of New Avengers, we're shown how valuable, how interesting, how cool, Luke Cage actually is.
TheManWithoutFear said:One of the coolest things in comics that I have ever read and despite how mediocre/bad/good/great the rest of the issue was, this part alone should be commended.
E said:Deodato is so awesome. I hope he stays on this book forever.

Victor Von Doom said:Just wikipedia'd Korvac. I still got nothing... :?

There is an entry there for Korvac, which has a brief synopsis of the Avengers issues he was in. Does it not tell you enough, or is it how it may POTENTIALLY apply to The Collective?

I like the refrence to Secret War and it's cool to see Daisy return.

TheManWithoutFear said:Will Daisy return? I was under the impression that SHIELD would in no way make make contact with her for Captain America because she was a Fury Loyalist. The mention of her was a nice touch though.
thee great one said:I got my "Secrets And Lies" HC today. I thought it was pretty good. I enjoyed Ronin. Finch's art was grea. He drew a sexy Madame Hydra and a badass Silver Samuari. I loved the interplay between the characters that Bendis' writes.
The Spider-Woman issues weren't that great. I'm not a big fan of Frank Cho. It was nice to see Secret War refrenced. Spider-Woman still hasn't convinced me that she will be a traitor. She won't. But the forces behind Hydra and S.H.I.E.L.D, I'm interested in seeing how that plays out.
I want to see more of Ronin on the team. She and Wolverine will probaly be the shadow ops. Which is weird considering that Wolverine joined the help his public image after what happened in Millar's run. But he wants know part in it. It seems that Bendis changed his mind.
I liked the part with Jonah. That was awesome.

Let me get my crayons. Ronin's coming back very soon.E said:If we never see Ronin again color me thrilled.
