Because you are wrong, they didn't sleep together. Just because a guy and a girl are friends, doesn't mean at one point they knocked boots.

regardless of the situation, that's gross if jiraiya is taking naruto to hot springs to look at girls and is impressed with his skills at writing a perverted story which is basically just a porno mag. That just sends a bad message to readers. the fact that he and Tsunade would have be naruto's grandparents means he's a descendant of the first hokage and I'm sure there would be something like a family tree connecting the 1st with the 4th and it being a huge deal. no point or reason to hide something that villagers would just take pride in. and now this really sounds like xmen.

I don't wanna argue. And I'm just saying that if anything, Minato is probably Jiraiya's son... whomever the mother is... based on the hair (
just like how it was pretty obvious that Naruto is Minato's son based on his hair

Naruto writing some of Jiraiya's book was anime filler... and it's not a porno mag, it's an erotic novel, lol. Naruto's as big of a pervert as Jiraiya is, don't let him fool you. The Konoha village isn't exactly very big and has only been around for about 70 years, unlike the X-Men who recruited 100 random people from all over the world that, by some coincidence, all turned out to all be related somehow... the mutant gene is probably from in-breeding!

Read the new chapter again, Jiraiya explicitly states that he bragged about Minato like he would a son because he never had one of his own.

Good chapter though nice to get some parentage issues cleared up.
 
Yeah, I didn't get a chance to read the chapter until after I brought it up. I only knew about the 4th's name and Naruto's mother's name because of all the buzz. I suppose Minato may have styled his hair like that out of admiration for Jiraiya...
but why is Naruto's hair so similar to Minato's then?

The fourth is Naruto's father, but not Jiraiya's son. Read the new chapter for a third time, they say as much.
 
Saddens me, yes... but I have a new theory; I think Pein is related to Naruto, possibly a cousin or uncle. they described Kushina Uzumaki, Naruto's mother, as a red-head from the former (as in it isn't around anymore) Whirlpool village/country (I can't remember). Pein is a red-head from the Rain village, which is said to be full of refugees... suspicious, no?

Of course the same style of completely uncombed hair, OF COURSE!!! That is without a doubt they are relateted. I mean what is the ****ing coincidence that too people have similar hair cuts? Seriously dude, this is the biggest and most convincing clue in the history of EVER! I mean everyone has the say exact hair cut as their father's and grandfather's, there's no other possible way to change it, It's science! Just like passing down hair color, there's no escaping that logic. This is 100% true. Lets go to war!

That's actually not a bad idea, and not because of the hair beacuase of his eyes, Uzumaki means "spiral" in Japan

First of all, you're very rude. Secondly, damn-near everyone in Naruto who are related have similar hair styles... isn't it obvious? Ino and Inoichi, Shikamaru and Shikaku, Chouji (two and a half years later) and Choza, Neji and Hizashi, and Hizashi's twin brother Hiashi and Hinata (two and a half years later), Kiba and Tsume, Kakashi and Sakumo (
Chiyo mistook Kakashi for his father because of their hair
), Sasuke and Madara, Gaara and his unamed father aswell as Gaara's brother Kankuro all have similar hair.

I, after seeing a picture of the 4th Hokage and the physical similarities he had with Naruto, began believing that the 4th Lord was the father of Naruto. It fits with the fact we hardly know anything about him in backstory or even name.

Also fits with the doubt that he would use someone else's baby to seal a demon in.
 
I think the 4th and Jiriya's similar apperance could be like Guy/Rock Lee's relationship. I doubt Jiriya and Tsunade would have acted like they did or do toward Naruto if he were their grandson. Doesn't mean Jiriya isn't a distant relative of Naruto through his father, though.

Figured I'd chime in about the most recent chapters.

Yeah, I was wrong. The Akatsuki leader isn't the fourth. My theory about Naruto being a clone of the fourth would appear to have also been proven wrong. Honestly, I'm very disapointed with the revelation that the Yondaime is Naruto's father. Everyone guessed it from the beginning, and It's practically a cliche in Naruto Fanfiction (Which I Definitely don't read).

Besides that though, arc 2 is finally starting to pick up. All that sexual tension between Tsunade and Jiraya two chapters ago was weirding me out, though.
