The Timeline Guy
If Ultron is early May, and S03 is late October that's almost 6 months
Exactly, which lends credence to your theory.

I'm excited to see what timeline fun Damage Control gives us. There's an opportunity after almost every movie (Ant-Man was pretty clean and GotG wasn't on Earth) to tie-in with some clean-up. Obviously it should have it's own story line, but why not both?
I've had the thought that the TV-to-film ratio is getting ridiculous with so many shows in the works, but that thought's always followed by "THIS IS AMAZING."

On another note, someone had said that the CW Prelude comic is just adaptations of IM3 and TWS, but it's a four-issue series. I imagine issues #3 and #4 will be original content like we've seen for most films so far.
Each adaptation is always two issues.
I think that the first two issues of Captain America: Civil War Prelude are adaptations of the Iron Man 3 film and the second two issues are adaptations of the Captain America: The Winter Soldier film.
From the December 2015 Marvel solicitations:
THE ROAD TO CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR BEGINS WITH THESE OFFICIAL ADAPTATIONS OF THE SMASH HIT FILMS IRON MAN 3 & CAPTAIN AMERICA: WINTER SOLDIER!
Synopsis for #1 & 2 (of 4): When THE MANDARIN strikes at the United States with a series of deadly terror attacks, IRON MAN must take action! But can TONY STARK handle the pressure when he has his own demons to face?
Plus, the second half of the synopsis for the remainder of the series: And when Captain America encounters an assassin named the Winter Soldier, he joins forces with Black Widow and Falcon to uncover a deep seated conspiracy in their very midst! It's spy versus spy as the fate of the country hangs in the balance!
Release Dates
Issue #1: 12/16/15
Issue #2: 12/23/15
TPB: 04/12/16
It's pretty great to get the two-issue Iron Man 3 adaptation, as the adaptations usually only come out right before the release of the sequel to the film that is being adapted (such as The Avengers Adaptation comics coming out right before the Avengers: Age of Ultron film). With no new Iron Man movie on the future releases list, it would be difficult to follow that pattern.I wonder if we might finally get an adaptation for The Incredible Hulk right before Thor: Ragnarok.
And that's what I get for trying to do anything with a 26-hour sleep debt. I read Part 1 and Part 2 as Issue 1 and Issue 2.
The canon was just getting easy to sort through as to what was and was not official, but I've seen a couple of things brought up over the last month or so where some official word on the canon like we were getting before with the comics would really come in handy. Someone in the past seemed to have some good luck tweeting with some of Marvel's people, and they responded item by item stating whether a certain comic was canon or not.
When the WHiH videos started coming out, more questions were raised as far as if these videos are considered canon, and if previous short videos set in the MCU were canon as well. The following is a list of everything I could find (mostly from a list compiled by /u/bflaminio on the /r/marvelstudios subreddit):

I can see different sides to whether people think these are canon, or fit as canon, or work in some kind of head canon. What I'm really looking and hoping for in this post is to: a) gather in one place the comics and videos that I have seen most discussed as far as their canon goes; and b) look for anyone who works for Marvel or anyone who knows who to talk to at Marvel to clarify officially their canonicity. I think wyokid was talking with Will Corona Pilgrim about MCU canon back in 2012, and I believe Aztlan was also getting some responses as recently as 2014. In February of 2015 in a Comic Book Resources article, we once again saw Will Corona Pilgrim talk about "in canon" versus "inspired by".
But it would certainly be nice to get official confirmation as to what is canon and what not.
Hey DIB
Basicly all the comics with an official tie-in stamp are canon. Some comics didn't had this stamp untill it was bundled in a TBH. The only comic which doesn't have a stamp but is considered canon by many, is the Jessica Jones one with the Netflix logo.
Take a look at page 5 of this thread. Will Corona Pilgrim confirms on twitter what is canon and what not.
