What was the point no offence random , in creating a a poll where if people don't vote the way you want you say they are wrong?


You might as well of just created a "Jack Bauer is better than Noah Bennet" thread.

That's why the poll isn't in favor of Bauer, because people are voting on bad assery, their voting for their favorite show/character/politics/etc. but not on Bad assery. My fault for only putting it in the Poll question and first post, in fact could a mod add ": Who's more Bad ***?" in the title so I don't have to ****ing explain it again? Seriously its Like I asked for who has better hair and people are responding "Well I like this guys chin", "His ears are too big", "He's standing on beach, that clearly makes him better"

So one more time, this is about who is more bad ***

1) the severe extreme of maxed out coolness, total disregard for all things weak (ie: emotions, fear)
2) one who follows in the footsteps of the great triumverate of badasses (Spike Spiegel, Samurai Jack, and Batman)

On on my disapproval on poll, the problem, besides people's reason for their choice, is that no one can give me a suitable explanation, I'm challenging you, hell I'm daring you to prove me wrong, give me reasons, state examples of Noah's Bad assery and hows it's better than Jack ****ing Bauer. I hell, I did that for you (though I forgot Noah psychologically messing with Elle), I have looked at it with open eyes and the argument does not hold.

your welcome :lol: but it's true, no one sees the truth or responds to anything you say as defense. Only that bennett has more votes on a show that is absolute bollocks to begin with. I know I'm being one-sided but if the guy was badass, i'd acknowledge it. I hate jolie and cruise but that doesn't mean they suck at movies (example).

Because I gave my reason. In the beginning of the ****ing thread. Bennet tortures supervillains, Bauer tortures terrorists. And you dismissed it. And, in turn, I've dismissed your list, because it's not important to me. I don't care how many badass things Jack's done because, for me, it all comes down to that original statement.

I'm not going to prove anything to you. Because your mind is set. But, you dismissing everyone else's opinion (Because we are arguing an opinion here, not fact) as nonsense. . .well, that's just bad form.

I am not dismissing anything, I am simply providing my argument. Bennet only tortured one super powered and that was Elle, Every other time he just stood in back having a few good comments while other people did things. The Haitian and Eden were the ones holding them down, the doctors were cutting up Sylar. Elle and his mentors were really the only hands on thing he did. Bauer has done much more hardcore things with such a greater intensity.

And I think the simple super powers > terrorists is a silly reason because when it does demonstrate any difference in their bad assery. As I've said before Bennet has other super heroes go against them. I've said that before. Jack can take out a dozen bad guys single handedly, I haven't seen Bennet take on any supers one on one. He basically stands back and says "All according to plan" which is cool, but I don't think anywhere near as cool as ripping off the power cord of a lamp and using it to electrocute his hostage. I don't think having him going against super powers makes him any cooler cause he really doesn't do that much against them. I'm just saying the super human argument doesn't work cause he always has one on his side. He's not fighting super humans and torturing them. Its a rarity, in fact as I recall he usually gets beat by them. His constant use of super human allies negates the whole argument. That's why I don't think that point holds much.

And My mind is pretty now set, after I've reviewed everything everyone has said, everything I remember, and everything I could find that's convenient to find. Then I made up my mindEDIT:

So much for civil conversation (well it is the internet). Oh and just because I bring up a point, in an argument about fictional tv characters who could potentially be changed to the point where the other is badass, don't say I'm whining. It's an argument about a character who's more badass. We're comic fans so no one's going to change their minds. Yeesh.

Also Lynx, let me add that this is a valid point, I personally don't think it holds as much as some would make it out to. I'm more upset at all the other responses who are really missing the point.
