Heroes seasons 1 & 2 series discussion [spoilers]

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

What is it with HEROES and the 9th episode?

SUPER MEGA FUNKY AWESOME!

I actually cried a little. It was that awesome.

It's a very well structured show - it's very clever on an aesthetic level to play both the Noah finale and the Kaito mystery close together. And even Elle and Parkman were kept on 'theme' with their father issues.

Parkman's on a scary road...

But this episode super awesome.

Hiro's reaction that the murderer was Takezo Kensei was so good.

But the big deal with Noah - wow, wow, wow. It was so well done. I loved West, and I loved how Claire saved him. I was so into it, and I completely and utterly forgot they could resurrect Noah. Bringing him back was BRILLIANTLY done. I didn't see it coming. Not only that, but I think it's better HERE than later. The reason is this: the episode goes very much down the road of fate and destiny and that's why Kaito has to die. It's a nice counterpoint that Noah meets his fate, but then wriggles out of it. I think it's less "gimmicky" in this episode, especially when you consider they've played that card half a dozen times this season (Peter, Nathan, Adam, and Sylar all have had their "OMG! THEY'RE ALIVE!" scenes).

The problem, one I hadn't considered till reading you guys' comments, is the emo Bennets next episode which makes me think that Noah won't do much for several episodes. My fond hope is that they start using him right away, but maybe they'll take him off the board for a while. Honestly, I don't care.

This episode was so good, I wouldn't want to change any of it. Damn the upcoming episodes. This was worth it, right now.

Crap... I just didn't see the blood trick. It's been there, in plain sight, since episode TWO, and I still didn't see it coming.

I love foreshadowing when it's done like this - hiding in plain sight. YES! YES! YES!

They've got the goods these guys - they just need to stop being so gorram slow! This episode could've been #6 (give or take)!

Ah, I don't care. It's that good. I'm so happy. :D

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

"Stings like a *****, don't it?"

Noah Bennett is an a**-kicking machine.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

Couple of plot holes -

1) Why didn't Elle just kill Noah and West earlier?
Answer: Because the episode is awesome.
2) How can Claire's blood resurrect Noah if he's dead? It's not like Nathan - Noah's heart isn't beating. How does the blood get around his body? Can they give it to Kaito and that'll reanimate him? If not, why not? What makes it not work anymore?
Answer: Because the episode is awesome.

Noah Bennet is also capable of filling up plot holes - with your bodies. Question him not.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

Noah ****ing rocks. Period. Me and my friend were watching the show and when Noah got killed we didn't shout at the screen, didn't spit in disgust, we just sat there in stunned silence for a few minutes then one of us just muttered "oh my god..." got so into it didn't think about the blood until the scene at the end.

Oh and Noah ****ing rocks.

Noah Bennett>>>>>>>Chuck Norris, Jack Bauer and Mr T. All at once.

Dude, come off it, that's not a fair comparison.

I mean, of course he is. Noah's real.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

I was thinking...

The most logical explanation as to why Bob would resurrect HRG is to show him that they are, indeed, not the bad guys. You see, they healed him with his daughter's blood. He would be dead otherwise. Certainly HRG would come to his senses a bit.

This would mean that his family wouldn't have to leave and Claire and West can be together forever... Which I'm sure everyone is a fan of, right?

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

Noah should become the new icon of outrageous comments, like Jack, Chuck et al. But much more awesome. Because Noah could kick Jack Bauer's *** any day.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

I was just thinking: if this was episode 9 of season 1; Mohinder shooting Noah would've been the ***-kicking cowboy scene where the good guy kills that baddie.

How awesome is that?

Answer: Noahwsome.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

And now? Now I hate Mohinder even more. He not only tried to kill Noah Bennet, the man so badass even Death got scared and threw him back, but he couldn't even do that right... Last season it was "Ooh look! I have captured Sylar but instead of putting a bullet between his eyes in a second, I will use my amazing powers of narration to talk at him until he escapes". Now its "Lets try and be sneaky and go against Noah Bennet, God of Awesome."

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

This statement is so false in so many ways

You fail.

Noah Bennet is the most badass character in a show where everyone has superpowers, and he has none.
Jack Bauer just fights ordinary, non superpowered terrorists occasionally with the support of the government.

Nuff said.

OMG! He's Batman!

Do you wonder why there's no super powered people in Jack's universe. They're too afraid to show themselves. Jack Bauer could make Sylar cry and Bennett kiss his feet.

I'm sorry as bad *** as Noah is, Jack still is the top dog.

Don't make me start a Bennet vs Bauer poll on yo' ***..

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

Sylar is better than all of these people.

Couple of plot holes -

1) Why didn't Elle just kill Noah and West earlier?
Answer: Because the episode is awesome.

When they were doing the hostage trade-off? I thought of that too. Why would they take her out of the water and give her her shoes back and all? And why didn't she kill them as a result?

Hmm....:D

Remember what Noah told her about her childhood when she was tied up. See where I'm going with this?

2) How can Claire's blood resurrect Noah if he's dead? It's not like Nathan - Noah's heart isn't beating. How does the blood get around his body? Can they give it to Kaito and that'll reanimate him? If not, why not? What makes it not work anymore?
Answer: Because the episode is awesome.

Maybe the blood cells that Claire and Kensei produce are sort of organisms in themselves, with their own metabolisms and everything and so can rebuild somebody even when they're dead, which also explains the minor plot hole with how Claire and Peter came back from the dead after a brain-would - their blood was still in their body. It just can't work if a foreign object is actually still in their brain, or if their brain has been removed.
