Heroes seasons 1 & 2 series discussion [spoilers]

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

I think Hiro being a villain should be saved until the last or second to last season , if they did it at all. It should take several seasons for him to change into an anti-hero (Future Hiro) to a fully-fledged villain. And if and when he finally snapped, he'd need to be increadibly dangerous. His power would certainly allow for that. Hell, I'd wager even the all-powerful Peter Petrelli couldn't do anything if Hiro stopped time.

I agree. I don't want it to happen right away, if at all. Its definitly something that shouldn't be rushed, and gradually play out over a season or two.

Holy ****! :D

I like the episode though it was very predictable. I loved the Hiro parts. And the previews for the next one, oh man.

The only complaint I have about this episode was the ending. Yes, we knew it was going to happen because, honestly, letting go of Jack Coleman would have been one the worst things they could have done. I know why they did it this episode (Because viewership would have dropped), but it's not good storytelling. Now, Claire and her family's grief isn't going to have the same impact. There is a time to use dramatic irony and this wasn't it. This would have been a better cliffhanger for episode 11. However, I'm very interested in why Bob decided to spare him. Plus, I now don't have to RAGE and destroy Tim Kring.

However, the episode was very heartwrenching. The scenes with Hiro and Kaito were tear-jerking, as was Noah's "death". I actually can say I didn't hate West as much this episode, maybe because he stopped being such a smarmy *****. I do, however, think the kid needs acting lessons. His dialogue is very forced.

One of the best parts about this episode, however, was three heroes teetering on that moral boundary. Matt learns he's really Charles Xavier and uses that to his advantage. . .regardless of morality. Mohinder shoots a man he trusted. . .and a man who, earlier that day, spared his life. And finally, Hiro finds out who killed his father and is, likely, getting ready for vengeance.

Oh, and the preview for next week? Holy ****! I can't WAIT for that episode!

That was so awesome. Overall it was a pretty good episode until Noah got shot, and I was so pissed off and ready to write a big rant along the lines of "Hey, Tim Kring, you know that whole thing about you realizing your mistakes and promising to get things back into gear in a big way? Maybe killing off the best character on the whole show isn't the way to do that.".... but then that ending. When I saw the blood I thought he might be healing Elle or even Kaito, until it showed his torso and I though "Oh man.... please... this would be so unbelievably good just give us what we want!".... that has to be my favourite ending to an episode of the series yet.

I never watch the previews for the next one but it's good to hear they look sweet, Random.

Do you want to know? I'll spoiler it so I don't have to make another post if you do.

Sylar shows up at Mohinder's apartment. Hiro sneaks up on Peter, holding a sword to his throat. Nikki seems to be freaking out, and she tells Micah she has the virus. I think that was it.

They didn't do it this episode cause of viewship. I hate how this always comes up. The problem with the first few episodes with this season is because they wanted to reveal things at a certain time but didn't have enough filler, so they introduced new characters and storylines, one of which will start playing a major role next episode. But I am really curious why they kept Noah alive, the only thing I hate about this storyline (other than its execution which was predictable and not as emotional as it should) is that now Claire and Adam's blood is a get out of jail free card

I loved Hiro and Lil' Hiro's conversation, it was really great and shows how Hiro as matured, not trying to play god anymore. And West is much better cause he did some kick *** things this episode, like abducting Noah and taking out Elle. He stop being this stupid-whiny love interest and did something

I like that too, the whole darkside with Matt is great. Mohinder's thing just really felt out of place, they should of really showed his turmoil over doing this.

Seriously I can't wait until we see that Hiro/Peter scene. And I wonder what will happen with Mohinder and Sylar, seeing as he has no powers.

They also said
the virus will be released in 2 days or something along those lines

What do you think it was for then? Why reveal such a big surprise only a few minutes after he died? Waiting 7 or 8 episodes, like the mysteries early in the season, is one thing. But, they could have waited until next week to show us that. Like I said, we didn't even get to grieve for the guy. I was like "WHAT! NO! **** YOU, KRING!" and then five minutes later "Oh, wait. . .nevermind." If it had happened next episode, after Claire and her family have their funeral for him and everything, it would have had more impact, I think.

Now, we're going to have to deal with the Emo Bennets when, in the back of our heads, we're just going to say "Yeah, yeah. He's alive. Shut up."

OH! And I forgot something about next week's episode.
Claire versus Elle! That should be interesting!

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

I liked it. I also was less annoyed by West.

As for next week's episode (based on the preview), that Hiro/Peter shot with Hiro holding the sword up to Peter's throat! It has me excited. I imagine it comes to that point due to Peter helping Adam, not knowing his true plan or nature. Luckily, Hiro will show up to fill him in just in time for the volume finale the week after!

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

I'm still unsure as to why Adam would be the one Kaito would suspect the least of them all. I mean he was the evil bastard that they all were afraid of. Maybe he just didn't expect him to get out of the Company.

Sorry I misread your post, I thought you were saying because viewership already dropped due to earlier episode. My apologies

Yeah that's gonna suck. I never saw the point of killing a character than just bringing them back. I hope they go somewhere with it

Maybe because he was supposed to be idealistic? Maybe because Kaito knew he was Tazeko Kensai? Maybe because, like you said, he was locked up? Could be any of those things, really.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

That was the best episode of the season, period. The rest of you already said anything I was going to say. Although I'm sure Bass will weigh in at length within the next day or two.

NEXT!

It really was. Honestly, it stood up well again many of the better Season 1 episodes. And next episode looks just as good. Hopefully, Kring and the writing team (When they come back) have learned their lesson from the beginning of Season 2 and the rest of this volume and the next will be much better.

By the way, I've discovered the name of Volume 3 will be called "Exodus". Sounds interesting. Hopefully, the strike will end soon and Volume 3 will start up in January.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

Kaito made that comment because it was ironic for him to see his death coming... I thought, anyway. He might have enemies that we don't even know about, too.

Oh, and yes - THE BEST EPISODE OF THE SEASON.

Man, what a face-off. I liked it. I liked it a lot.

HRG is my favorite character for sure now. Mohinder's a *****. I hate him. West was cool. He was actually cool. Hiro. Kid Hiro. Cool.

Next week's episode is going to be BOSS. Damn, it looks cool.

It was definitely because he was locked up, but his statement also implies there's more to Adam's side of the organization than we know
