How about Bea Arthur(spelling?) for Frau Totenkinder?

Who are those people the only one I recognize is Amy Lee (I disagree with her being Snow).
Doc's Choices.
Hugh Jackman (Wolverine)
Elisha Cuthbert
Natalie Portman.
I could see and love everyone one of those.
The buffy-angel/beauty & the beast part was the best.
Excellent pick! I'm not quite sure whether I think Connelly is still youthful enough to play Snow, honestly. But Baccarin is an unconventional -- but wonderful -- choice for the role.Snow White - Morena Baccarin (Firefly) - I think Baccarin might have the regality and snootiness that gives the character so much spunk.
I noticed that you didn't mention the obvious -- that Sirius Black is a lychanthrope, which just makes Oldman seem like an even more appropriate choice!Bigby Wolf - Gary Oldman (Batman Begins) - I couldn't find a picture that fit him perfectly... But imagine the dirt and musk of Oldman as Sirius Black on the costume of Oldman as Jim Gordon.
Different storkes for different dolks, I guess. I'm so used to Cruise in "dedicated career man" roles, that I can't imagine him playing an unreformably smug bastard like Charming.Prince Charming - Tom Cruise (War of the Worlds)- I know people will disagree with me here... but he's charming as hell, AND he's a total *******. And despite his personal life, he happens to be a very good actor.
Best. Casting. Ever. I won't even attempt to top that, for the reasons you mentioned.Beauty and the Beast - Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) - Someone came up with this idea on the Fabletown Forums, and I have to say I think its pretty brilliant. The two had plenty of chemistry on Buffy, and they both have the beautiful people thing down... And plus, can't you just see David in his half-beast form?
He looks waaaay too sinister. I can't NOT think of him as his Cruel Intentions character, and I feel like, at this point, he seems like a "poor man's Hayden Cristiansen (sp?)", despite the fact that he's had a longer acting career.Boy Blue - Ryan Phillipe (Crash).
Glad to see a fellow Dead Like Me fan on this board! A lot of people I know wrote off Callum as a James Marsters/Spike wanna-be, but I think he could carry the role of Jack quite nicely.Jack of Tales - Callum Blue (Dead Like Me) - Callum would have to go blond, and ditch the british accent, but I think he'd be a great choice.
I always thought Dead Like Me lead actress Ellen Muth could make a convincing Goldilocks, but you've nailed it with this one. Best of all, she can be crazy AND quasi-sympathetic, because I think Goldie has an aspect of tragedy about her, as well.Goldilocks - Zooey Deschanel (Weeds) - She makes a FANTASTIC crazy person. She's also very beautiful and if she put on a pair of crazy-round glasses, she's be perfect.
I failed to notice this, earlier on. Buscemi wouldn't have been my original choice, but he makes a lot of sense; his acting style fits the part, even though he looks nothing like the comic character.Flycatcher - Steve Buscemi

No, that's Lupin.
Anyways, Compound and Doc had some spot-on choices. The only one I didn't really like was Judi Dench as Frau. I just. . .can't see it, for some reason.
Oh, and Doc? You get bonus points for Gellar and Boreanaz. That. . .that's just amazing casting right there.
Anyone still picking up "Jack of Fables"
What do you think of Sam... I mean, they haven't really addressed it bluntly... but he -is- Little Black Sambo. That's a rather... contraversial move for them to take, don't you think.
Yes, I really like Jack of Fables. I originally doubted that the series might not have worked, but it's kept my interest. I didn't know who Sam was until I looked at the fabletown forums, and that is a bold move.
The next two issues are called "Jack Frost" and have something to do with the Ice Queen. The arc after that is set in Las Vegas.
One thing I pointed out at the forums was that because Jack has been involved with so many stories, that each arc in this book could be based on a genre of story as well. Like the arc that just finished, that's an escape story. The Las Vegas arc coming up, I'm pretty sure has something to do with a con or a heist story. Fun stuff.
I think it's interesting that they keep piling on who Jack is. Jack Frost, the Jack of Hearts? I mean. . .damn.
