Doctor Who

STUPID BBC SQUISHING THE CREDITS!

How super cool. How was Michael Sheen not part of the Confidential for this episode? WHY MUST YOU FAIL BBC?!

"Bunk beds are cool! They're the only beds with ladders!"

Also, I liked how the Doctor was told he was never always brought where he wanted to go, but where he needed to be. That was very good. Michael Sheen as the voice of House was a great touch. So yes, excellent episode overall.

The Tardis was very sexy indeed. :heybaby:

Who is Michael Sheen?

Frost in FROST/NIXON, Wesley Snipes in 30 ROCK, Blair in THE SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP...

I agree. I loved the bunk beds, and the 'sexy' stuff and everything.

Belated reaction to "The Doctor's Wife": 'Twas incredible. Probably the best episode of the Moffat era and maybe best of the new series?? Loved everything about it.

Definitely the best episode of season 6, and as a single episode, it's rivalled by BLINK, THE GIRL IN THE FIREPLACE, and THE ELEVENTH HOUR. It's terrific.

THE REBEL FLESH - It was fine. Nothing amazing, but fine. I think part two will be very entertaining because... two Doctors! (If they'd had real balls, the doppelganger would've been Tennant. That would've kicked this episode from 'average' to 'OMG'. They should hire me dammit.)

I loved Matt Smith's northern accent, and I liked Jennifer. I particularly liked Rory taking no guff from Amy.

I'm also praying that the dead Doctor in THE IMPOSSIBLE ASTRONAUT isn't his Ganger.

Also - the confidential for this episode is hysterical if only for Matt Smith's Badger hand-puppet.

This felt like the series 6 equivalent to "The Hungry Earth" in series 5. I hope the second part is better.

We don't get Confidentials here.
Truly you live in a backwards country.

Exactly my sentiments. I think this is better than THE HUNGRY EARTH but it's really not anything amazing.

But... if the flesh made a doppelganger of Tennant it would've been outrageously cool. It would've been a nice way to have Tennant and Smith together without actually doing the two Doctors. And I bet Tennant would've been up for it.

Why don't you just go and marry David Tennant!

That's definitely the way I thought about it, too.

I thought that would have made no sense.

He's cloning the Doctor, who currently looks like Smith, not any previous versions.
What he said. It wouldn't make sense if the other guys' gangers didn't appear different, then the Doctor's shouldn't either.

Because I love Matt Smith, dammmit!

Firstly, there is THUNDER AND LIGHTNING from a SOLAR TSUNAMI, they're in a CHURCH, he's a TIME LORD aaaaaand he just touched it and it scanned his mind. That is enough magic to say "it worked differently on the Doctor".

Secondly, if he had been Tennant the reactions from both of you would've been, "OMG! HOW COOL! IT'S TENNANT! WOW! (it kinda doesn't make sense but) WOW! WOW! WOW! TENNANT AND SMITH IN THE NEXT EP! WOW WOW WOW!"

It doesn't have to make sense to be awesome.
