Oh and to everyone who goes on about how "he's supposed to draw fire away from the troops, that's why he dresses like that", that explanation works great for Superman, but Steve has no powers. He's closer to Batman, he's got a shield, but that's not going to do dick against a land mine, hand grenade, or a well trained Nazi sniper.

But he has the power of patriotism! and patriotism is bullet proof!

Somehow that turned into a V for Vendetta reference, it was unintended but it works.

I think it's needed. What I don't like is the title Capt America: The First Avenger.

The film should take place during WWII...show the scene of him getting frozen in ice...and close the movie with the scenes from The Ultimates where Cap is introduced to the world at a huge gala and says the 21st century is "cool...definitely cool".

Pine would be pretty good, probably better if we didn't know him as Captain Kirk yet, but I'm relieved it's probably going to be a (hopefully excellent) unknown.

I don't think 6'1 is too short for Captain America, but I'm surprised that Pine is that tall to begin with. Apparently Quinto and Urban are 6'1 too. I would've guessed they were both a couple inches taller.
