After the kinetic pace and multitude of characters in JLU I find it hard to go back and watch B:TAS. It's so slow moving, and there are so many dragged out two-parters.

I'm the opposite , I prefer the old B:TAS over justice league style.


Here is why. Justice league was great do not get me wrong , But it felt like (not in looks but structure) Like most other animated hero series like X-men , X-men evolution ect....


Why as batman TAS had much beautiful and sophisticated style to it. The music mixed the shadowy movement. It was like the old batman comics but treated with a dark and sophisticated almost Opera passion behind it that explodes with every action.


Even the opening sequence is fantastic , Justice league's opening was good too but wasn't as good as Batman's , The joker = perfect in Batman , Joker in justice league felt a little off with him going from been beat by batman to challenging the league , I didn't like that.

The two part two face story is better than anything in Justice league I feel as it seemed so much more mature than I've seen an animated series in the Timmverse go.

I know this is a long winded way of saying but hey I figured I would share it

Probably my biggest hurdle to get past when trying to watch the early B:TAS episodes.

I'll still watch 'em....but I just don't really enjoy them as I used too.

I have to admit that I like the new Legion cartoon. The Ferro Lad parts in the first season were good. This new season is as well with Imperiex actually being used in a realistic manner.

I'm english yes but it was shown here on ITV when I was young , Cartoon network showed it later and it's on dvd so

No. He did JLU, but he doesn't do Legion. Although a bunch of people from JLU took over the Legion writing and producing duties for the second season, McDuffie was not one of them.

See no offence guys but this is why I rarely post anything like this , Because when I do (besides bass) it always gets ignored and lost in a sea of posts :lol:

A couple years ago myself and and three friends -all of whom huge Batman fans who hadn't seen the cartoon since they were 6- ordered two party-sized pizzas and watched over a dozen random episodes.

First of all, this could well be my idea of a perfect evening that doesn't involve hot girls and toplessness. Why oh why can I not have friends who enjoy the perfect combination of Batman and pizza?

Which do you have left? I think the first season is the most worth it if you've already seen all the episodes anyway, because the featurettes are so long and good.

I have roughly a third of Season One already (they released them idiotically in single discs over here) and Season Two in its entirety (for some reason, they released Season Two in a boxset).

With the dollar as bad as it is, I've been thinking about caving and just ordering Season One in its entirety, Season Three and Season Four from the US. It can't cost me a whole lot more than €70 for the three (and besides, I won't be paying!).
