This is funny. During my bf's funeral a few weeks back, I went shopping wit his mom for clothes until the wake was ready to attend. I come back and him and his dad are watching an all day marathon of jlu on boomerang. I was gone for hours and his dad is the I love reading history books and watching the history channel type of people. I would never have expected him to like cartoons, let alone jlu. But he was really into, moreso than anyone in the room. I gotta say it was pretty interesting. When i came in, it was the last episode for the day i guess and it showed darkseid blowing up a ship with lex and a bunch of villains in it and then arriving on apokolips before a war broke out.

Second to last episode of the series. The next one is one of the better endings I've ever seen for a cartoon.

Even though it would've rocked, it not happening lead to the creation of both my favourite episode of JL, and the UNBELIEVABLE Season 4 JLU arc.

Not exactly right, I think. From the wiki, it seems that had it happened, it would've bridged Starcrossed and JLU. Therefore, the Justice Lords and Cadmus would still have been as they are.

I thought they meant they cancelled it during season 2 and so decided to alter the concept to make it into an episode that season. Otherwise, why would it say J'onn J'onnz wouldn't have a CSA counterpart? Were the CSA going to be a completely separate entity from the Justice Lords?

I have a hard time believing they'd do that, the concepts are so similar it would look like a total rehash.
