Not that I care about Deadpool, but isn't arguing that costumes don't have a place in UU kind of silly considering how many characters have costumes ALREADY?

He said corny costumes, and I totally agree (although I don't find Deadpool's particularly corny).

This was the whole point of my Costume complaints thread.

Hm, I read that "corny costumes" as "costumes are corny" rather than "particular costumes that are not good", so I thought he was making a generalized statement about costumes in general.

But yes, Deadpool's costume is fine. It's simple enough to be distinctive, even if it is a tad bit uninspired.

If Agent X hadnt been created already he would of been a really good ultimate version of Deadpool that would totally ROCK!

Hey, this arc is beginning to sound a bit better not because of DP but because the X-Men are showing up. The X-Men are on the outs with the entire UU it seems and I'd love to see Spider-Man get caught in the middle of the Ulltimates/X-Men fued. That's some great stuff right there.

Makes me wonder how Kitty Pryde will factor in this, not in terms of plot, but in terms of characterization and how her relationship with Web-head will factor into this.
 
Hopefully, this will make her a rounder character. I'd even like to see a brief visit to her mother's house so that Peter is acquianted with her. That would be a good way to make her more human to Peter, who can't get over the fact she's a celebrity (from those previews... Really, he should be more worried about the fact that she's a mutant dating an alleged human).

That's what I've been saying. I doubt SHIELD will send the Reavers though. I think they're more their own bounty hunting team.

now,now,now, dont be too hasty but where did the info on X-Men showing up come from?!?! Cause I'm interested, I thought the arc was going to be called "DEADPOOL" not "DEADPOOL feat. X-MEN"

You must've not been paying much attention. It's been said a long time ago that the X-Men were guest-starring.

Which may not be a good idea. If things are getting moved around for his one idea, that's pretty sad. A relationship shouldn't back a story up. I hope we just see Peter casually hanging around the mansion with Kitty or something...

Eh, I honestly remember hearing about him using Deadpool a long time ago, though its possible at the time he had already planned the Peter/Kitty relationship. And in the case of a relationship backing up a story, I agree, though it depends on the tone or symbolism behind the story, so its all in how its executed.
