I'd like Carlie more if they weren't doing that whole cliche "Where was peter? He didn't come to help me?!" thing. She seems smart and assertive, and I'd like to see more of that.
I don't dislike Carlie Cooper. She's just boring... Then again, I always found MJ kind of boring too.
Out of the new cast members, I prefer Norah Winters and Michelle Gonzalez (are those names right?).
Michelle is a great character and I wish she was used more.
you mean like Chameleon used her?
hey-oh!

Agreed on both counts. Carlie is boring; I don't really care if she's smart. And her hair is awful. She looks like a dude.

yeah, but i like the look of this new Hobgoblin.
I wonder if it will be the same Hobgoblin that showed up in Bendis' Secret War. I doubt they've though this through that much though.
I can't really bring myself to read this due to OMD, but I admit when this series does something good, it hits it dead-on.
you're missing out most of the time.
I hated OMD and hate that Peter and MJ's relationship has been destroyed, but it's still Spider-Man and the stories are still generally good.
fair enough.
I haven't liked all of it (I disliked pretty much anything for the first year of BND, and OMiT, and anything written by Mark Waid - a lot of people don't agree with me on that one, but i dunno, i just find his Spider-Man stories boring), but I've really liked ASM overall since about the end of 2008 and the "New Ways to Die" story arc. And as has been previously mentioned, pretty much anything written by Joe Kelly or Fred Van Lente has been awesome.
