I didn't read the solit because the page wouldn't load...seriously? Lois is Superwoman? Wha---!?!?

Thats how it appears. She looks hot in that outfit.

Supes looks like Routh, doesn't he?

Ehhh, I'd say Lois looks much closer to Lana (Kristin Kreuk, a bonafide hottie) than Routh does to Superman, but thats just me.

No, that's just Quitely sucking at drawing female faces.

Superwoman is in issue 3....

as Lois Lane.
Its like Morrison is taking all the classic Silver age "imaginary" stories and making them into one long love letter to Superman... It'll either be beautiful or horrific, and Im not betting on horrific.

When I first read Morrison's words: "Lois Lane, Superwoman!" I immediately thought of Superwoman from JLA Earth 2, otherwise known as Post-Crisis Earth-3 that exists within the same universe as the Qwardians.

Whatever!

Anyway, so in that universe Lois Lane is Superwoman. This is probably THE Lois of All-Star Superman...but with Morrison, can you really go wrong?
There are just so many little things I love about #1. Like Quintum's moon base, and with that weird coat and the cane he reminds me of Willie Wonka! And then there's the buttons to summon the elevators that turn into arrows when you press them...very cool. My favorite little thing, however, has to be Jimmy Olsen coming in with that helmet and jetpack and saying that he looked up the size of the sun on his super-watch or whatever. That was just awesome!

I can't wait till Superman manifests that other power Morrison foreshadowed. A little Superman should be fun!

Where can I find #2's cover online? The image at the back of #1 previewing for #2 is just the same picture from the strength test within #1, isn't it?

Is that a jab at my tastes?
Sorry, Irish. Didn't mean any of it that way at all. When I look at it now, I could've phrased it a lot better. I just meant that most people (like everyone) don't like it, but that you should ignore them (us) because maybe you will like it. Nothing else.

Good point. And I did manage to pick up and read AS B&R #1-2, and wasn't all that impressed. Not only was the internal dialogue annoyingly repetitve, Lee's art was somewhat hard to follow in the action scenes. And we're two issues in and really nothing has happened. Dick's parents are killed and Batman kidnaps him...thats all. I'll check out the rest of the series, but I agree it doesn't hold up a bit next to AS Superman.
I haven't gotten #2 yet because #1 was such a disappointment I didn't really rush to grab my copy or anything. I'm giving Miller till #3 to impress me (even just a little bit) or else it's "bye bye Batman"!

And since its the merry ol' season:
Jingle Bells! All-Star Batman smells!
The Boy Wonder laid an egg!
The Batmobile lost a wheel
And Joker ran away!
HEY!

Nah, its ok, I was only joking.

I haven't heard that since I was 12.

My new Ultimates.

All-Star Superman makes me tremble when I pick it up.

That's two at the moment.

We should have more superhero comics this good.

This is actually what the Fantastic Four have needed for years now! Except they need it in-continuity and with a writer that loves them as much as Morrison loves Superman...say...oh, I dunno...Karl Kesel? Hasn't Marvel been ignoring that poor guy for WAY too long? He obviously loves the FF. Did I get his name right? Cos if it ain't him, I'm just making a fool of myself here!

Seriously, Morrison (with this idea) has inspired a post I made elsewhere about doing a maxi-series telling the "folk tales" or "legends" of the MU heroes. Take all the important facets of the character and his supporting cast and enemies, and turn it into the best 12 issues of story you can, with the best art ever!
Plus, throw in pages of free "trinkets" at the back. Like, for Spider-Man, you'd have a story set in his college days and the back of the book would include new John Romita Jr. pics as if they were photographs in an album taken by Peter.

Oh...woops! Sorry for hijacking this thread for my idea! All I'm saying is that Marvel needs to do this with their characters. Screw civil wars!!!

That almost looks like Lois is walking in on Superman while he's looking at some Kryptonian porn and doing something un-super to himself.
