Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. discussion (spoilers)

That was intense. I knew Hand was bad. I hope the Clairvoyant is Norman Osborn. :p

I also didn't trust Blake, but probably just because the only other thing I know Titus Weaving from is Lost.

You're on a role with the celebrity name mix-up. First it was Jennifer Garner/Jennifer Aniston. Now this. Titus Welliver.

Now I'm imagining a Titus Welliver/Hugo Weaving hybrid mutant, and it's both wonderful and terrifying. Thanks, Cap.

Well that time I actually thought his last name was weaving. Oh well.

A good interview with Tancharoen and Whedon (Jed, not Joss). Not really any new information, but they're really hammering home the fact that this last third of the season is when it's all coming together and that everything is connected.

Also, the plan is to tie up the season one arc in the season finale, but also to tee stuff up for season two, even though S2 isn't confirmed yet.

I was just thinking about this past Tuesday's episode. When they were looking into the past of Thomas Nash (the vegetable they thought might be the clairvoyant), they mentioned that he was Canadian and that he was recruited by department H. That would be SWEET if we got some characters from Alpha Flight in this show. I doubt they will, and I'm not even sure if they can. Alpha Flight might be an X-Men related property. But that would be pretty cool.

Hmm, Alpha Flight is surely on the grey zone as Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch.
I mean Shaman, Guardian, Harfang, Puck, Sasquatch, etc, aren't mutants.

What about Madame Hydra? Like, I know Fox has Viper, but could Marvel still use Madame Hydra?

I think she's on the grey zone too as she appeared first in Captain America and there is 'hydra' in her name, and she is a member of this group, so..
She appears on Captain America: Super Soldier, that is MCU Agnostic Canon.

So, after seeing Cap 2, and the mid credits scene, my theory is that the reason The Clairvoyant is so bothered about Coulson's revival is due to the fact that
Hydra has been experimenting with Loki's staff, and want to know if he has any abilities similar to Scarlett Witch or Quicksilver and/or want to make sure none of their dead test subjects come back

Cool!

Could be, though I think their intentions have more to do with trying to gain immortality or whatever other powers the Kree blood/GH325 can bestow. We'll see more of that revealed later in the season, probably in the finale when Fury reappears. I'll be amazed if Coulson doesn't ask Fury about it then, and I think Fury will give him at least some answers. I'm sure Fury will also verify it as a Kree alien as a lead in to GotG.

"AGENTS OF SHIELD" CAST TEASES DIRECTION-CHANGING EPISODE

Ever since the debut of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," fans have been abuzz about how the events of the "Captain America" sequel might affect "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." -- and while it's still somewhat of a mystery (at least until the newest episode airs April 8), Marvel has released a video containing snippets of interviews with Clark Gregg (Agent Phil Coulson), Ming-Na Wen (Agent Melinda May), Chloe Bennet (Skye), Brett Dalton (Agent Grant Ward), Elizabeth Henstridge (Agent Gemma Simmons) and Iain De Caestecker (Agent Leo Fitz), all of whom tease a new direction for the series following the team's encounter with the Clairvoyant in the April 8 episode, "Turn, Turn, Turn."

Whoa. Interesting. So according to this we'll see the Clairvoyant on tonight's episode.

Episode 17 is already online on Hulu, you can watch it here:

This episode was the best one of the season for me.
Never saw that coming from them! Damn I liked them alot in the show :/

There will be big changes for next episodes... it's not anymore Itsallconnected or Uprising.. but Survive.

I should sue Marvel for all of the emotional trauma they have inflicted on me these past few years

Loving this episode.

Coulson's "boo yah" was funny.

Hand turning out to be loyal to SHIELD and not a Hydra agent (never thought she was the Clairvoyant) was well done.

And
Garrett
as the Clairvoyant was quite a surprise. Didn't see that coming. Bit of a lackluster reveal, though. In terms of who it was, not how it was done. That was pretty cool, just wish it was a "bigger" Marvel character. Would've really preferred if it was Zola.

But yeah, great episode so far.

I feel like that's not the Clairvoyant. I mean, I'll be fine if it is, but, as you said, it seems lackluster.
