I think he mainly just didn't want to kill himself. So he trick that big guy into doing it. Maybe he knew it wouldn't last long. I would, however, like to know how Faust got out.

I haven't the slightest idea...but with World War 3 around the corner, I'd say about 520,000 (give or take a few zeroes) will be dead at the end.
