Hopefully he gets scarred in the process of the film or something. It just wouldn't feel right without the mask.

:x I'm so with you on this. This movie already is a bad idea considering Marvel is on the right track with "The Avengers initiative" I can't believe Reynolds would even sign up if it wasn't true to the character. ****ing comic book movies... ever since the bar has been set and they drop the ball are really starting to piss me off.

Yeah, I hope this is some trick DP is pulling or something. I hope we get to see DP as he's supposed to be unmasked (and yeah, he better have that mask!!).

Seeing how they made the shots of Wolverine when he first pops his claws straight outta Origins gives me some hope that they could get DP right.

I had high hopes for this movie being on par with the newer Marvel movies (Iron Man, the new Hulk) but I see this being like the X-Men movies and the Fantastic Four ones... This summer set the bar for well thought out comic adaptions but I don't think that trend's going to be repeated with what's to come with a few of them...

Kevin Durand looks like such a stupid Blob, too. They should've CGIed the Blob.

But do not forget that the recent Marvel movies are from Marvel. X-Men, FF...it's just Hollywood only in terms of Sony and Fox doing what they want mostly.

I'm thinking Deadpool either won't be scarred at all, or will get so towards the end of the movie (final battle, etc), possibly to set up a spin-off of this spin-off. At the very least, he better wear something very reminscent of his 616 costume during battles. If not a scarred up face underneath, I at least want the classic red and black mask with whatever changes are needed to Hollywood-ize it.

Completely agree (about him having the mask).

Yeah, and they seem to have done well with the other characters (appearance wise at least): Gambit, Blob, Sabretooth, etc.

Why drop the ball on Deadpool, whose arguably the most awaited to be seen on the big screen among comic fans? It doesn't make any sense.

I'm calling this a red herring type deal until its confirmed otherwise.

I just hope they get Sabretooth absolutely right. And one quick thought. In X2 it shows Wolverine escaping the Weapon X facility after getting his adamantium claws. So how's this movie going to show him with the metal claws if all of this occurs before hand? Maybe if he's just running around with the bone claws it'll be ok but I don't know.

After he escaped he was re-caught and had to escape again. Or his memory was playing tricks. Remember he only had flashes of what had happened
