Wolverine - series discussion (spoilers)

Nitro finally bit it in the end, but it wasn't at Wolverine's hands, so I'm disappointed. Otherwise good.

4/5

Oh and I forgot one thing from my synopsis. Wolverine finds pants on the second page. Phew!
I was glad that happened early.

He'll eventually make a comeback, I'm sure. I give 4.5/5

Actually, he's not dead yet. He's still a "guest" in Atlantis

Yeah, Namor sd something like, If you can hold restraint, so can we. But I doubt it. They'll keep torturing him or something.

Now I remember, they got out the name of the person who gave him the MGH before Nitro killed his interrogator, not before they killed him.

Nitro's dead meat anyway. I doubt he'll make it out of Atlantis alive.

Even if they do kill him, I would just refer to your subnic.

True, but Nitro isn't that important.

He's not, but didn't quesada want a bunch of characters revamped or restarted? The last I heard of Nitro was when he fought Captain marvel.

#50 starts with a pack of lupines fighting each other for no reason. It also has Logan's comments which is him just talking about nothing like always.

Wolverine heads to the Xavier Mansion to face Sabertooth... again. He talks to Rogue, and then finds Creed. He's watching the Spice channel, but Logan drags him outside. The two fight for a couple of pages, while Logan recalls bits of memory, like Silver Fox, and her death. He recalls a scene with Creed telling him a Latin phrase, and back in the current day, he asks what it means. Creed tells him it means Logan will someday become Creed.

The issue ends with Logan about to put his claws through Creed's throat while Creed is about to rip Logan's heart out.

And then there's some strange back up by McGuiness... it's about the time Wolverine was sent to fight the Hulk. It has Logan's comments about the situation and then there's a random glimpse of the exact scene from the Ultimate mini, with Ultimate Hulk ripping Ultimate Wolverine in half. Logan wakes up, wonders if it's a dream, and questions the strange costume... what the ****?

Boring issue, but beautiful art.

...what? That's...weird.

I know. It would have been better if it made sense, but it doesn't. It came out of nowhere and I have no idea Loeb was trying to do with it.

Short and sweet: I liked it and I'll get the next part.

The art was great and I rather enjoyed the story, not much plot, but I liked Wolvie's inner-monologue this issue. The ending of the second story came out of nowwhere and Wolvie's reaction and mine were pretty much the same. I assume that Loeb is hinting at Logan gaining memories from Alt. Wolverines, which only complicates his many issues.

I pray this isn't something kooky like: Ult Wolvie and 616 Wolvie got combined due to the events of HOM or something, or they switched universes. I wouldn't put it past marvel at this point.

I think that the back-up story was placed there so we wouldn't forget that Ultimate Wolverine vs Hulk is still in progress. I mean we won't see issue 3 until the end of the year so a little reminder can't hurt

Maybe they're just saying that Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk was all a dream of 616 Logan's and they'll never finish it.

Of course, Loeb and Lindleof are buddies, so it's most likely just a little friendly wink at him.

I'm actually interested in the prospect of what that means. It seems like a DC thing to do.
