This one's gonna be tough because I want to be loyal to continuity but have no idea where the characters are at this point. So I don't usually do this but I'm going to have the story take place in the past before the untimely demise of Xavier. Sometime between established arcs. Do love the choice though Zombipanda.

Heh. Thanks. I really wanted to do an ultimization of the Brood, but I figured no one else would pick the Brood as their choice, so the closest I'd ever get to it is by posting the idea myself.

I really couldn't come up with a decent idea for The Brood. I know that I would've nixed the alien idea as well. But the only thing I could think of was a very similar idea to "Village of the Damned".

So yeah........




Have we ultimized Madrox yet? I think if I don't see him by the end of Feb, I might just post an idea in the Baseless Speculation/Ideas forum.

He's already in the Brotherhood, I think it was in Ultimate Xmen 27, or around there.

Just wondering... why do we always ultimize 616 concepts? Why not something completely unexpected, like a DC character, or something from outside of comics? I think it would be a challenge.

That's actually a good question. I mean how many random 616 or Marvel Universe characters can we pull up? I mean Swordsman? Purple Man? Not that they're bad choices......but there are so many other concepts to utilize.


I think we just use 616 characters to tie them into current UU storylines or books. But the idea of ultimizing Flash, Detective Chimp, Mitchell Hundred (although----that's not really a good example becasue the story behind him is flawless) would be great.

I want them to do an Ultimate Daredevil mini, seeing as how elektra got one...but i don't want it just to be a copy of man without fear...and i can't think of any new innovative take on Daredevil's origin..but then again i'm not a writer...i think it'd be nice if this was a seperate story going from the end of elektra into daredevil in costume with a few flash-backs of how he became blind. But bottom line I don't want it to be the same as 616, I mean ok he's gonna end up blind.........

Since we've seen non-human races in both UFF and the Ultimates, I thought keeping The Brood as aliens could work, depdending on how it was handled.

Partly because that's what the UMarvel writers are doing, I suspect. Ultimizing something from outside of comics might be an interesting take on this challenge. (I'm not a huge fan of the "ultimizing DC" idea, but other people might like it.)
