Re: Ultimate Power #7 (Discussion/Spoilers)

I don't think I have ever given even Mighty Avengers or Ultimate Iron Man - two of the worst books ever made which are the shame of the comics industry and will be for years to come - a 0/5.

Oh, now I HAVE to read it.

Re: Ultimate Power #7 (Discussion/Spoilers)

I think it's suppose to be the Squadron Supreme from Earth-712...

Anyway I really hoping at least the last three issues would be good and make up for the last six, (sigh) Oh well...

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Oh, Watcher! That's a good one! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Re: Ultimate Power #7 (Discussion/Spoilers)

for some reason I thought seven was the last issue, and then when I saw seven of nine I laughed for a little while.

Re: Ultimate Power #7 (Discussion/Spoilers)

I actually thought that this issue, and the last, were the only two decent ones.
(how do I make one of those 'ashamed' icons thingies?)

The first five issue were basically the same fight replayed over - the last two have brought Doom (great!) and Hulk (which succeds at least as a plot device to NOT make Fury look uncharacteristically like an idiot)

Is it wonderful? no. but it is better (IMO) than the first few issues (high praise indeed :) )

Funny - my favourite UU crossover is Hulk vs. Wolverine. It bugs me that its twisting in the 'continuity' wind... but at least if its unfinished, I can't hate its ending.

It's "oops" in between colons - : oops : without the spaces.

Although I think it would be great if it was - : ithoughtultimatepowerwasdecent :

:D

Why the **** is this nine issues? How does this manage to be a nine part story?

Re: Ultimate Power #7 (Discussion/Spoilers)

Wow. I think Loeb writes Spider-Man worse than Bendis. "So Doc Doom is not behind it? WE'VE GOT TO FIND REED RICHARDS!"

Terrible, corny dialogue. Oh, and didn't JMS' issues of Ultimate Power involve Thor speaking some Old Norse language and even his font was changed? And it was because of something that happens in Ultimates 3? Isn't it back to normal in Ultimate Power #7? If so, then the editors can do nothing right.

Hire Grant Morrison to end it and begin it again. Nothing goes right anymore.

Though I did like Fury keeping the Hulk in case of an emergency and the original Squadron Supreme at the end. Too bad they'll probably be written as retards or they'll speak in 1930's slang.

Re: Ultimate Power #7 (Discussion/Spoilers)

Ok...

From what I can gather from this thread.

Hulk is a weapon again ala before Ultimates 2...

Doom's...doing...something.

Squadron Supreme of Earth-712 show up, which means...more worlds are infected? Which means that we can expect an *** load of universes coming together to slap each other around just because that's how you settle these things instead of looking for a way to reverse the infection...I mean with so many geniuses together...it only makes sense to unleash the Hulk and just have a big fight with everyone.

Re: Ultimate Power #7 (Discussion/Spoilers)

This is one of the worst comics ever made.

It had potential.

Land reused (at least) one of his Phoenix Endsong panels in this one, the one where Wanda is embracing herself is just like the one where Jean was embracing herself in Endsong.

Very bad issue, the only part I like was when the X-Men came to rescue Reed.

When does this crap take place in the X-men time line? Or an any time line, for that matter?

...

None.

At this point it'll do far less damage if this is just another universe that resembles the Ultimate universe a lot but with little things different. Like their Doom is still there. The Ultimates are still state sponsored, and Loki never came and outed the Hulk.
