What'd you guys think of the actual issue, though?
I thought that, for an Origins series trying to tie up all these loose ends that it's moving remarkably slow. That's Bendis for you, I guess.

It was terrible. I don't have it with me, but there were a million things wrong with it, not the least of which is the fact that Truman wasn't Vice Preisdent in 1942.

I'm thinking of this as retconning the UU. I mean, I thought that in the first issue, those guys were the parents of those characters we've gotten to know, but Dugan shows up in this one... I think that was the icing on the cake - there are too many character's fathers running around here for that to be the case. Bendis kinda screwed that up... But only if you look at it with a microscope. This is how it's going to be from now on, I guess.

This is a perfect set-up for numerous "gay" and "small penis" jokes.
As for the issue (UO #2), bleh. It was pointless, though I do like the idea of Ultimate Watcher being some alien computer thing that looks like an Indiana Jones prop. But other than that, this issue left a lot to be desired. I'd hoped for so much more from Cap's origin.

Ultimates 3 really didn't have any continuity screw-ups (least that I can remember...of course I've only read the issues once and I was cringing and turning my head away, so maybe I missed it). It just sucks on its own merit, not due to continuity mistakes.
