Ultimate Comics Spider-Man (discussion/spoilers)

Iceman's spike thingy did look weird and reminded me of the Mangaverse look. Still, I really enjoyed Miyazawa's art and would love to see more of it in the series.
 
Hmmmm, after the Spider Slayer attacked Peter's high school in issue six, Peter's high school as been attacked 3 times by 3 different super villains. That's starting to become a cilche.

Also I wonder if Doc Ock will come back any time soon.

He was spikey in part of the 90's too, but yeah I agree about Miyazawa. He can draw my teenagers any day!

I'd rather have Immonen or Mark Bagley, this whole anime-ish look is the only thing that's keeping me from fully enjoying the book :?

That's it. We (mainly Ice and I) got chewed out by a troll because we didn't care much for Bagley. He had a huge rant about it and even started posting stuff about us on other message boards. It was a pretty silly thing to get worked up over, especially considering we really didn't say anything bad about the guy or his work, just that we didn't particularly like it.
 
I don't think Bagley is a GREAT artist, while his faces look pretty much all the same, he is pretty consistent and he feels like THE Ultimate Spider-Man artist for me because of his long run with the book. It's just that whenever I imagine a character from the book it's always Bagley's version :p

I doubt Bagley will ever do anything Spider-Man in the rest of his career. Or at least for an extremely long time. So get your Bagley Spidey fix from the past. :p

Iceman doesn't only look dumb, he acts dumb too! Bendis is really playing the immaturity with that character, like he always did in the few moments he appeared in USM. Johnny appears like the mature one beside him.
