Yes, for sure. In fact, the Dark Universe ride trailer implies that all Universal Monsters movies are the same universe, including Van Helsing, Dracula Untold and the The Wolfman (2010).

classic or recently announced?
The Dark Universe is a continuation of the Classic Monsters universe (as well as The Mummy (1999)) based on canon statements and characters from The Mummy's Hand appearing in The Mummy: Dark Universe Stories.

Obviously, Renfield is set in this universe as well, being a direct sequel to Dracula.

I wonder if anyone has created a timeline for the world of 2000 AD - Dread, ABC Warriors, Flesh, Slaine etc before? Wiki's is a bit... hap-hazard.
this has been one of the ones I wanted to do but its a bit tricky

The problem is, that 2000AD has been around for a while but its online fandom is much, much less prominent. This meant that things are sparingly documented and often several years out of date. I did find a recent infographic on Reddit that gave a reading order for the tpbs, but even that I found somewhat frustrating as it would miss entire series that tied into the franchise.

There is also a problem with canon drift, which I see a lot with the smaller comic companies. It seems like a lot of publishers start out very eager to have their own grand, unified timeline but then as stories progress and people start to find it creatively limiting to be confined to lore contained in the universally hated "Blorbo Limited Series" or whatever, they stop caring to continue the links. You can see this in how ABC warriors, originally a linchpin in the shared 2000ad timeline, ended up outlining a timeline which invalidates the Judge Dredd universe.

for what its worth, I got to the end of the "Flesh" series and its timelines then said "right its on to Ichabod and Azrael" next, realising I dont find cowboys that exciting, then being distracted by work/study/personal life/hyperfixating on Dr Who again. I will share my "Flesh" reading order for everyone to excitedly attempt to comprehend, but aside from that the best outline of the 2000ad shared universe is found here: http://www.internationalhero.co.uk/2000admultiverse.htm

I'm going to do a long post soon about how Green Lantern TAS can fit into Young Justice. The two series are clearly intended to be canon to each other, despite what the creators say. I think we can make it work with some explanation.

Can Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice be canon to each other? Let's find out!

Part I:

Before we can get started, let's address the obvious elephant in the room: "Official" word of mouth. I'm not sure why Greg doesn't just outright say GTLAS is canon when "The show is heavily referenced in the Young Justice: Phantoms episode "Encounter Upon The Razor's Edge!", which features the original character of Razer, references other unique characters and plotlines, and involved numerous GLTAS alumni behind the scenes, including the episode's writers, GLTAS producers Giancarlo Volpe and Jim Krieg." - from the YJ Wiki

I've noticed a trend with creators not explicitly revealing the canonicity of any given project (see the MCU's discussion around the Netflix shows). It's almost like "canon" is a bad word to these people. Regardless, I personally have always looked to the media itself and come to my own conclusions based on the evidence the content gives.

Also, I do not include video games, comics or books. The only content that I personally include are the two shows.

With that said, let's begin our breakdown. We'll start with Green Lantern in this part:

Green Lantern TAS establishes right away that Hal Jordan has been active as a Green Lantern for some time (it's implied it's been years).

1720561758009.png

Mogo the living planet is introduced early in the season and appears to become a GL.

1720562150269.png

Guy Gardner is introduced later in episode fourteen as a new GL who recently was chosen to protect Earth in Hal's absence.

1720561867555.png

Episode 1.21 features the only on-screen date in the series. This places episodes 1.17 - 1.21 in July. Now I understand the 2010 calendar for July doesn't have a Saturday the 16th, but I'm willing to overlook this since it's a fictional universe and could have different calendar dates.

1720566365659.png
During the series finale, Hal is transported back to the beginning of the universe and it's creation.

1720562473807.png

Due to Young Justice season four's timeline, I believe a ret-con must occur for both shows to line up. It is my opinion that the best (and only way) to make it all work is to assume a time jump occurs after Hal returns to the "present day". I will get into the specific years for each series in Part II of this breakdown. In short, Hal gets transported back in time, then is brought back many years later - the series doesn't portray it this way, but it CAN work. So the rest of the episode after Hal returns from the past, is set four years before the crossover episode of Young Justice Phantoms.

1720562533896.png

Lastly, John Stewart is mentioned in "Ranx" as having taken over sector 2814 from Guy Gardner and Hal Jordan.

That is all for Green Lantern TAS. Now, onto Young Justice to see how this series is a prequel to it.

Part II: Young Justice

The timeline of Young Justice as been said to revolve around 2010 for the series first season.

"Officially, the series does not have a canon year, but for season one, the producers used 2010 as the basis for days of the week and calculating time relative to events in the past." - YJ Wiki

However, I disagree with this. Let me reference the following conversation...

spence writes...
Does the show take place in 2011? The photograph of Dick in the trophy display in "Schooled" shows the year 2011 on it.

Greg responds...
No. That photograph, or rather the date on it was a mistake.

We intentionally have NOT put a year on the present day events on the show. There is NO CANON YEAR, as far as I'm concerned.

But the days of the week are based on the 2010 calendar. And in my timeline, now a whopping 185 pages, for purposes of math - relative to events in the past - we're set in 2010.

So in one sentence Greg says "there is no canon year" and then goes on to say "we're set in 2010". Which one is it? I think 2011 works just fine if "there is no canon year". That means it's up to the individual, after all, it's all fiction!

To my knowledge, there was never another date actually seen in the series, so I'm going with 2011 as the basis since there is no reason it can't be. On-screen content always trumps "official" statements in my opinion. Some will disagree.

1720563540446.png

In the second episode of season one, John Stewart and Hal Jordan are shown as active Green Lanterns (now members of The Justice League). This lines up with both men being established already in GLTAS and that show being a prequel. It is unlikely both were members of the League in GLTAS since the JL was never referenced in that show.

1720563290201.png
1720563311730.png

Guy Gardner shows up in the middle of the first season sporting the same haircut, but with a lighter warm weather uniform. Since the character was already introduced in GLTAS, that gives more evidence of that series being a prequel.

1720563440827.png

Years later, in the third season (which I have set in 2019), Guy sings about Oa - the headquarters of the Green Lantern Corps - and Mogo, a sentient planet and fellow Green Lantern first established in the previous show.

1720564261285.png

Now onto Season Four - set in 2021, which ties HEAVILY into Green Lantern TAS and is what provides the main connective tissue between the two series.

Both Tomar-Re and Kilowog were established as active GL's in the previous series. They both return here, with Kilowog even sharing the same voice actor from the previous series.

1720564946196.png

Perhaps the best piece of evidence that places the two shows in the same continuity is not only the appearance of GLTAS original character Razer, but the fact that this season literally flashes back to the events of that show's final episode and gives the audience the immediate aftermath of it.

1720565145039.png
1720566099595.png
Dialogue indicates that Razer leaving Hal Jordan and Kilowog (as seen at the end of the "Green Lantern: The Animated Series" episode 1.26: "Dark Matter") occurred four years before the events of this episode. Metron saying it took Razer less than four years to lose hope may indicate that the time was being rounded up instead of down. This suggests the events of the "Green Lantern: The Animated Series" episode 1.26: "Dark Matter" ended in late Team Year Six (2017) or early Team Year Seven (2018). This doesn't line up, as the entirety of "Green Lantern: The Animated Series" has to occur before "Young Justice" due to the appearances of Guy Gardner and John Stewart, who are both introduced in that series for the first time (John Stewart is never seen.)

Kilowog tells Razer "Four years. Four years! You don't call, you don't send subspace mail. And suddenly you're here wearing blue pajamas." Razer then states "Four years ago, I captured this Blue Ring's potent energy signal and tracked it to you." followed by "Shortly after we parted (at the end of "Dark Matter"), a blue lantern ring powered by hope found me in deepest space." This would place "Dark Matter" in 2017 to line up with this episode being set in 2021. However, in "Dark Matter", Aya transports Hal Jordan back to the beginning of time and then returns in the "present day", which could theoretically be a different year (2017 in order to line up with this episode being in 2021).

To keep Green Lantern and Young Justice as close as possible to each other from a timeline perspective, I have Green Lantern TAS beginning in 2009 and ending in 2010, with the final scenes of the series occurring seven years after the rest of the season in 2017.

So, with all of that said, the TL;DR version of this is Green Lantern can absolutely be a prequel to Young Justice if one assumes there is a time jump via time travel during the Green Lantern series finale. Design updates/changes can simply be chalked up to the different animation styles. I think both shows being connected makes sense and the general audience watching will see the cohesiveness of them both and how they compliment each other so well. Thanks everyone.

What does the timeline look like for the Daniel Craig movies?

Curious, but is anyone here planning on doing a timeline/reading order for the Top Cow Comics universe (Witchblade/The Darkness/Magdalena/Tomb Raider/whatever other crossovers there are that are considered canon)?

Well, this is interesting...

According to TV Tropes, the manga ST☆R: Strike it Rich is also part of this universe. And then there's the (I presume non-canon) crossover that Kengan Ashura has with Baki the Grappler...

And then there's also the fact that Baki the Grappler had a collab event in Ryu ga Gotoko Online (a non-canon Japan-exclusive gacha game set in the Yakuza/Like A Dragon franchise)...

And then you have Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima from Yakuza crossing over into the Project X Zone series, which itself is a crossover between multiple Sega, Capcom and Bandai Namco titles, like Ace Attorney or TEKKEN...
jpysz7sb9m2b1.pngSo yeah, little rabbit hole for anyone interested in exploring.

Yeah, I talked about Project X Zone in a post in the "Chronicling the Omniverse" (or whatever long title it has) thread. I was hoping to see if the timelines lined up but, sadly, no :( . I have just assumed that the versions of the characters in Project X Zone are variants. Except from the ones that come from universe with a worldbuilding so different that are just presented as alternate universes like Sakura Wars (that has steampunk mechas in early 20th century Japan), in that case they could be canon, I think, haven't really checked. And it is canon to Super Robot Wars OG, apparently.

Just for fun.
