How would you rate Thor?

FINALLY just got to see it. Very 'meh' about it. It looks like it's half a step up from a SyFy movie. Nothing (acting, action, sets) looks impressive to me at all. Still hopeful though.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this already but does anyone else look directly at his waist when he vainly tries to lift the hammer to see if a belt is on? It doesn't really look like he has one on in the Asgard scenes but I'm hoping they stick to some of the mythology like Millar did.

This trailer was far too long and very boring. For something that promises to be an pic, there was an awful lot of scenes in sparse, barren areas with only a few characters populating them, including all of the Asgard scenes.

I may not even go and see this.

I could just be that it's not finished. that the epicness (I'm guessing two big battle scenes in the beginning and the end)comes from more cgi. So considering this is more of a teaser only for comic con I say wait until a full trailer comes out.

Kind of like Clash of the Titans. Though Olympus isn't supposed to be populated it was still a let down. Especially when only other god, Apollo, has one small line.

I just saw the trailer.

I've got to say, I've got no opinion on it. At all. I don't feel one way or another about it.

I still think they should make me and Terry Gilliam's Thor.

The trailer.

Click the "HD" button underneath for Quicktime. I think if you saw the leaked footage earlier this year, it's mostly the same, but there might be a few more shots.

First impression is pretty good.

I think it looks great. I am more excited for this than Green Lantern.

I hope I can see it in 2D though!

Nuts.

I get the plot now.

Thor is found on Earth; flashback to how he got banished from Asgard (partly Loki's fault too) and lost his powers. Then, Loki is usurping the throne from a dead Odin and making everything bad whilst at the same time the Destroyer awakens on Earth, probably sent by Loki to kill a powerless Thor. But Thor's heroic efforts despite not having any powers make him "worthy" and he can now lift his hammer, become Thor, and defeats the Destroyer. Returned to his full strength, he goes off to Asgard and has a final confrontation with Loki in the throne room, which he wins and becomes king of Asgard, but that might hurt the franchise's connectivity with THE AVENGERS, so he leaves another character in charge of Asgard (Heimdall, his mother, Daffy Duck) so he can continue to have adventures on Earth and learn from humanity's humility and become a better ruler for Asgard when he's ready to go back.

Bleh.

Just doesn't interest me at all.

I just have to accept that, for me, the only Thor I've ever even remotely cared about was Ultimate Thor, and that's not where the movie franchise is going. I'd've been so happy for a movie where no one was sure if Thor was really a god. I think it would've been so much more interesting. Ah, well.
