The new Spider-Man cartoon to air on the CW.

Really? I'm not seeing it.

They look like they're on roughly even terms. Venom's physically more powerful and uses his knowledge of Parker's identity to his advantage, but Spider-Man can exploit the symbiote's weaknesses.

Really? The latest episode showed off how extremely more powerful Venom is to Spidey. All he did was throw SPidey around until Spidey manage to get a kick in and then run, to where the same thing happened again.

Venom has always had an edge over spidey anyway.

Still, the latest episode it was ridiculous.

It's usually better when the villain is strong, much more compelling

How so? The villain then is stupid for getting his *** kicked? Cause in all honesty, Venom outclasses Spider-man in everything except noise. Venom could easily wipe out Spider-man.

This does not make him interesting.

And how the hell did the gene cleanser defeat Venom? The suit didn't alter Eddie's genes to bond with him.

Crap.

That i agree with.

Though they probably did it so the symbiote could reproduce.

I was going to get these for my son because he really likes the show, but $20 for a DVD with 3 episodes on it? Amazon has them for $15 each but still, that's $5 per episode. Sorry - pass.

I mean in term of a fight, the hero has to struggle more. That makes the fight more interesting, now if Venom just keeps popping up and constantly gets defeated, yeah that defeats the purpose

Which makes these one sided Venom destroy Spidey fights annoying. Because I know Spidey in the end is going to swing a punch and defeat him.

This is why I still would like someone to PM me the site(s) where I can watch Seasons 1 & 2 online... :)

only 4 volumes? was there only a few episodes or do they leave episodes off? I assumed there would be 6 dvds

New episode up on youtube. Silver Sable,Kingsly and Silvermane are introduced.

season one had 13 episodes.

so four volumes (three with three eps and one with four eps) covers it

but there is no way I'm paying $80 for 13 episodes!

on a different note, this weeks episode was intense!

Roderick Kingsly was introduced and now has a reason to hate Osborn (looking forward to Hobgoblin!), Foswell is Patch (as expected) and Silver Sable is Silvermane's daughter (cool twist)

I'm torn on this episode.

Silver Sable as Manfredi's daughter kind of works for me. Sable as a whiny Daddy's girl doesn't. Still, she's a badass with some cool toys, so it's not like they completely missed the mark.

Hammerhead actually seemed threatening for the course of one episode! Thumbs up. His relationship with Sable made for some funny scenes as well.

Spider-Man teaming with Rhino was awesome. The ultimate odd couple.

Liz and Pete however make a rather bland couple. "Oh, you missed Valentine's Day. Darn. It's ok though. I'm not mad, I'm never mad. I'm being a ridiculously awesome girlfriend so that when you break my heart it'll give you something to feel guilty and mopey about." Lame. I thought they'd do better with this relationship.

Poor Black Cat, gets that cool action sequence at the beginning and get shoved out by Hammerhead.

Doc Ock with the groupies made me laugh.

At first I thought the item for auction was going to be the symbiote or the tablet of immortality.

I agree on Liz, though.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this series, the best Spider-Man cartoon yet. I'm currently on Season Two, Episode Five. Which episode was the most recent one (was it eight)?

Also, this may not be true but Wikipedia is saying that a Season 1 box set will be coming this Summer, for all of you who also hate the Volumes DVDs they're doing instead.

I don't know I kinda like it. What were you expecting?

Also, is it me or is Kingsly Black in this series? Then again they turned the other Hobgoblin asian.

Also, this is the coolest Hammerhead ever.

Em no Un Dastnd Yu.

I've read it out loud.
I've read it backwards.
I've read it out loud backwards
I've mirrored it.
I've put it into google (Did you mean: Em no Un Destnd Yu )
I've put it in babelfish and searched the web and it worked.

and now I feel like an idiot.

I loved both of those. And Spidey complaining that Rhino tricked him with his own move.

I wish it had been one of them. From the second they announced what it really was I knew exactly what would happen to it at the end of the episode.

Except I didn't. Which was a good twist. I love this show.
I agree on Liz, though.
She was a way more fleshed out character before she became 'The Girlfriend'. Now she's so bland.

Indubitably.

I believe so.

A real relationship. Where the girlfriend gets mad because you planned nothing for Valentine's Day then didn't even show up. Instead they're making her into little miss perfect so the breakup will be all the more wangst-worthy.

If they make Ned Lee into the Hobgoblin I will throw a ****ing fit.

So, clearly we don't have to worry about Gwen dying. It's Liz we have to watch out for.
