Smartest thing I've ever heard you say
Thanks.
Though i'm not sure that's a compliment:?
Anyway, now that the ''Master Planner'' thing is done what do you guys think is up next?
Smartest thing I've ever heard you say
Bassian Rant:I saw it as well.
I don't like Liz Allan.
Oh, well then .Oh I agree with you on the developing relationships or not.
I just hate Liz.
You mean barf on his chest? On the topic of Black Cat.
Do you think her reaction to finding out Peter's age will be the same as in USM?
Unless she's not that old here.
Bassian Rant:
I like Liz. She's shallow and fairly self-centered, but she's shown flashes of real depth and she really seems to care about both Petey and Flash. I've been pulling for her and Peter to date since the second episode of Season 1. Obviously it's not a relationship that will last, but I think it'll be a good learning experience for Pete and a dramatic gold mine.
My one real gripe with the early issues of Ultimate Spider-Man (before I developed more legitimate gripes later on) was that Pete and MJ hooked up damn near immediately. There was no other relationship possibility or any real romantic drama from issue 13 through when I dropped the book around issue 90. Even dating Kitty was clearly a stunt that had no chance of lasting. So I'm glad that Spectacular isn't following in those footsteps.
Spectacular has done an amazing job of developing the supporting cast, most especially the women in Peter's life. I hate to sound like Mr. Quesada, but Peter would be boring if he settled down with one girl. But that's because this incarnation of Spider-Man is still in high school and high schoolers are sustained almost entirely on drama. Take that away and the show suffers. Pete's unrequited crushes on Betty Brant and MJ, his flirty relationship with the Black Cat, the complications between him and Gwen, and now his hooking up with Liz have all added some wonderful drama to the show. And let's be honest there's no way a teenage Peter Parker would turn down a beautiful, popular cheerleader who shows interest in him. So this move makes sense.

And it's pretty good. This weeks episode is up on youtube.
And it's pretty good.
Also, it's interesting that they managed to fit all 3 of the villains from the third movie into a 30 minute episode without making it feel rushed, melodramatic, and stupid. Like, say, the movie did.
I finally finished catching up on Season 1.
The shows okay but it is kinda bland. I seem to have seen it all before. I will try the next season.

This episode is awesome. No real new characters save for Mark Allan was introduced but they really built on the existing ones, especially central villain Sandman. I thought I would be initially bored to have him as the main villain of the episode but his rather creative ways and finally getting smart on his powers made the action sequences great. I even found it better than the Sinister Six fights.
Nice homage to Spider-man 3 as well and improving on the movie's faults. I liked the role reversals of Brock and Marko with Marko turning hero and Brock still a vindictive ex-bro.
I wouldn't say he turned hero..... just that he's not all bad.
Spellchecker on the fritz?Agree. But I have notest a lot of these episodes do at least ruffly follow the comics... somewhat. So it might be possible for him to turn good (at least for a while). Mybe even be force to help the rest of the Sinister Six like he did in the comics.
