I don't like it when writers refuse to write a certain subgenre because of *insert complaint here*

The complaint should be the reason they ARE writing the subgenre, to fix the problem.

I just read three volumes of The Goon (2 to 4). It was awesome. Eric Powell's art is so good. I liked the Hellboy/Goon crossover. It had octopus balloons in it. More comics need octopus balloons.

YES. I love The Goon, and all of the psychic seals, metal-plated-mad-scientists, and quadruple amputated fish men it entails. KNIFE TO THE EYE!

Today I was finally able to pick up :

  • Last couple of parts of new krypton
  • Supergirl cosmic adventures 2
  • The last part of Supergirl/Superman Maelstrom
  • Supergirl 37
  • Spider-man noir 2
  • Angel after the fall 16
  • Venom Dark Origin 5

Now I can finally read new krypton and Maelstrom :)

Today I picked up Runaways: Dead End Kids, and Jack of Fables vol. 3-4. I hope Runaways doesn't suck too much.

Next weekend is the New York Comic Con!

I wonder what/how much will be 'revealed' by any company since after this comic con there is non until Wizard World Philly in May/June...

I laugh at how naive I was, but even the scathing review I left in the appropriate thread has done little to wash the taste from my mouth.
