That Thread About Work: "Custom kitchen deliveries...!"

This was my explosion on Ice for what a stupid group at work has done. The one who doesn't get the point of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.

To further show their stupidness at trying to get me in trouble....

They requested six additional plugs, so I checked about several times with them, and they told me six. I sent the email. Today, the Facilities groups responds with they only need three, not six, and I should work on getting my numbers straight.

Good thing I got the whole six plugs thing on email, and my boss was CC'd on it.

Idiots.

Part of my dream last night, I'm being completely serious, involved watching a commercial for McDonalds that showed teenagers working there and thinking how absolutely horrible that would be.

Although, in the dream, they were standing in narrow metal hallways(which I guess were some kind of ovens) waist-deep in pig fat, holding onto sausages and burgers etc. and then the hallways would fill up to neck-deep with the fat, immersing the meat and frying it somehow.

Disgusting.

Dee-Licious.

Especially since i can't eat none of that stuff right now. Stupid Diet.

There's liking meat, and then there's finding the sight of aproned teenagers neck-deep in a hallway full of partially congealed lard appetizing. You sir, are on notice.

I was ignoring all that and thinking of McDonalds... Even though I picture the making of their burgers to be something similar to your dream.

Having worked at McDonald's, I can say there's nothing particularly disgusting or appetizing about making their burgers.

Burger King (where I also worked, twice), however, has the juicy burgers coming right out of the broiler and they look so delicious after their trip through the flames. . . I want one right now.

Meat is great.

And far less environmentally damaging than people suspect.

Agriculture is the real terrorist.

My first day at my new job and it seems pretty easy so far. I get a clean little shack all to myself and computer access (for now. . .)!
