Smallville (spoilers)

Hmm. A bit of a weak episode to properly introduce Kara.

Oh yay. In the truest way for creating a lame plot device, Lana survived as it was wait for it.... HER CLONE in the driver seat of the car. Yes. Her clone. Fortunately that didn't survive, or there would be 2 Lanas running around. And I couldn't put up with that much Lana/Clark/Lana nonaction.

Some part of the government has stolen a crystal from Kara's ship as well or something.

I caught it....just to make sure that I wasn't just dismissing a dumb idea and not giving it a fair shake.

And after some serious thought----this show is ****ing clown shoes. Clown. Shoes.

The story is stupid. The fact that Kristen Kruek can't act her way out of a wet rice paper bag. Even the special effects are a joke now.

I hate this show. Why won't it die? And how come Clark has come across like 3 different Kryptonians....they all can fly....why hasn't it popped into his head that he can do it too? If he can run up to the Fortress and talk to Jor-El....why doesn't he ask how to fly while he's at it?

Out of curiousity, how would you improve the show?

I'd go back to Season 2 or 3 when they started that cave bull**** and get rid of that preconcieved notion that Kryptonians once were on the planet.

I'd take it back to basics.

I haven't thought too much about this.....but give me some time and I could come up with something.

Personally, it's the cameos (Green Arrow, Cybrog) that get to me.

If it were up to me, I'd restrict cameos to the Legion of superheroes, Batman, and maybe Wonder Woman if they could be done right.

The problem I have with the show itself is that it basically ****s on the Superman mythos (that I know of).

They try to add too much stuff into the show. Too much of the stuff that's not supposed to happen until he becomes an adult. I can understand the Lex/Lana/Chloe thing. But having Lois show up? Having Krytonians land on Earth years ago and leaving some Krytonian Indian cave? Having a "justice league"? Dealing with Zod now? It's all just so stupid and convoluting.

The show itself thrived when it was all about the "freak of the week" and Clark learning how to master his powers. Right now it's become this stupid soap opera of all this bull**** happening in the small town of Smallville. The show should've followed him while in HS...then during his year in college his dad dies and then he decides to travel and finish school abroad.

I have all these ideas for the show.....but talking about the show pisses me off and now I can't think straight.

I hated the freak of the week, because it was way to convenient to have someone in this supposedly small town get powers, get stopped by Clark and his friends and afterwards no one knows Clark has super powers.

I would of had the first season be about Clark discovery his powers, have it focus on him as a character, his life, him learning to deal with the idea of superpowers (cause really people would freak out) eventually having to tell his parents. And the first season finale should be Clark parents telling him the truth and him just freaking out not being able to deal with the idea of not being human, pretty much have nervous breakdown and run away, My season 2 would of had him on the road for a few episodes getting caught up in saving lives and realizes what he's here to do.

But I guess today's audience cant handle realistic psychology that isn't convenient for story of action.

To be fair, the show is far more like "Ultimate Superman" than "Before He Was Superman" now. Its a re imagining of the story, but yes, some parts are just bat**** awful.

I can't begin to describe how bored I've been with the past few weeks of Smallville. I've really tried to be fair and give it a shot again.

Sadly...it's let me down in every way.

And to top it all off....guess what's happening this week?

"Wrath" --- Originally Aired: November 08, 2007
Kryptonite and high voltage mix during a lightning storm, causing Lana to absorb Clark's powers. Using her newfound super powers, she breaks into Lex's safe and steals incriminating evidence which she then delivers to Lois and Grant, demanding they run a story exposing Lex's secrets. After Grant refuses to use stolen material, Lana decides to take care of Lex herself. Clark tries to stop Lana from killing Lex and a super battle ensues between the two.

That's right. Another Lana-centric episode. And a "Lana w/ special and weird powers" episode to boot. Vampire Lana? Witch Lana? Kungfu Lana?

Why does DC and the CW hate me so?

I mean it this time......I'm done with this show. I'd rather have a fat girl step on my balls for an hour than watch this tripe.

And didnt they already do this with some douche in season 1?
I'm waiting for the episode where Clark saves her from a truck

Clark's not gonna do it. It'll be some guest of the week. I'm certain Lana will fall in love with him. But Clark will expose him for the charlatan he is.
Once again, thank you so much Watcher for this on going joke

Yeah. Thats the bit that annoys me the most about the upcoming episode. They have also already brought back the same guy in a later episode as well.

It has been a really dull season so far to be honest. Started good with some Bizarro action, then they managed to hit rock bottom with the Beauty Queen ****e of an episode. Then it perked up slightly with the Curtis Knox episode, hit the ****pan with that movie star episode that seemed pretty much a ripoff of the Angel episode 'Eternity' only without Clark getting drugged with Red K to 'loosen him up'. The most recent episode was a lot better than the previous one, but still got a lot of work to do...

So, the Writers strike's not gonna be a problem for Smallville.

I mean, they decided to give up on writers completely this season, and hire Manatees.

Yeterday show got this strange black goo thing. First, I thought it was Venom, but that Marvel. Do anyone know any DC villains with black goo?

The goo that Brainiac can become in this show maybe? He is supposed to return this season after all.

EDIT: Just got round to watching it. Yeah, thats the Brainiac goo.

Not as bad an episode as I was expecting to be honest. Maybe because I have very low expectations going into it, but it was ok.
Thank god Clark is hopefully realising that Lana is bat**** loco now. Never know, someone might kill her and the shows watchability will go up. The Chloe threatening Lana was good as well.

SRSLY.

Why is the writers strike even affecting this show?

That last episode was so predictable from start to finish.

  • Clarks come back after 4 weeks with no word. He's acting funny, but noone in Smallville will notice this because they are morons. How much you wanna bet its Bizarro and not Clark?
  • Chloe has a bomb on her because Lex made clones of his dead brother and said clone wants revenge! Lois sends her a letter to warn her! Chloe and Jimmy The Moron get stuck in a lift! The Bomb gets armed! Chloe tells Jimmy he has the power to bring people back from the dead by dying herself!
  • Did anyone not guess that one? If not you deserve to be part of the cast.
  • Clark and Lana The Irritating Shrew have a touching moment. Awwww.
  • Cue long lingering hug.
  • Shot of Lana's annoyingly happy face.
  • Shot of Clark looking emotionless. Oh look, his face goes all craggy.
  • WOW! Clark was BIZARRO all along! Noone EVER saw that coming!
Oh, then there is a shot of the real, and much less fun (read - doesn't kill people and whines a lot) Clark imprisoned in the Fortress of Solitude. For a father, that Jor-El chap is a bit of an *******. Someone should call social services on him for locking his son up in a big block of ice.
