The San Francisco attack wasn't meant to take out the X-Men. The Skrulls didn't know they were there, as seen in SI: X-Men #1.


But yeah, this has turned out to be not as fun as when it was first mentioned.
 
What really irks me is the inclusion of Nick Fury. For all his return was touted to be...all he's done is appear with a bunch of ultra-D-list characters as his "secret warriors."
The tie-ins with New Avengers and Mighty Avengers have killed the momentum in each book.
This should've been twice a twice-a-month book.

I have to admit I love seeing New-Cap (who I hope is never replaced with Rogers, as I really do like the potential of Captain America becoming a Legacy character), Iron Man, and Thor standing there....

but how many times has "Avengers Assemble" been used as the pinnacle "badass" moment? I recall it was used in Civil War at least one time.

I was hoping for this twist on this mega espionage type story with Nick Fury being this ultra cool spy he is, instead we get gun crazy Fury.

It started out fun. But now I am sort of over it and I just wish Bendis would get to the end already. This event seems to be moving so slow. Especially since like 3+ books a month come out with a SI banner.

YAWN wake me when Bendis is done.
 
I don't really know what happened in #7 but it was pretty terrible. Can someone explain the ending? Jan is growing (Ultimates 2) but what's up with all the weird black spots? How is that a conclusion? What the ****?
 
I don't think I've read through this entire thread, but has anyone read/heard of the theories that "He" is The Beyonder?

You know, there is not only a Secret Wars Omnibus coming out next year, but a Secret Wars 2 Omnibus as well.

Just sayin'.

Maybe Beyonder is a Skrull.

I can't remember what happened to him in Illuminati. Did it say he was an Inhuman?
