One Piece

It's definitely Dragon's forces. The caption reads "The Revolutionary Army, freer of slaves, appears!".

I liked Croc's quip about how certain DF users cancel each other out. That was neat to see someone in the OP world acknowledge that.

In other news, Jimbei is a MONSTER. It's getting a tad ridiculous at how powerful people are getting. And I'm sure Candle Champion Luffy is going to fail and he's going to beat Magellan using Haki. And he'll then be on par with people in the New World. I'm also guessing everyone else is going to be getting some kind of upgrade wherever they landed.

This is One Piece. It's akin to Dragonball Z in terms of increasing power levels.

And yes, Jimbei is incredible. The guy's a waterbending titan in fishman form.

Eh, up until this point, I disagree. Sure, people have been stronger, but it had a lot to do with their strange DFs. Haki has me on edge. I don't want to see Super D Luffy with a Haki level of over 9000.

What does the Den Den Mushi say about his Haki level?

"This is Captain Christopher Pike. To whom am I speaking?"

"Hi, Christopher. I'm Luffy."

Heh, Luffy is hysterical.

Buggy's dumb, though. I kind of wish they had mutinied so that Luffy, Jimbei, Croc, Daz, and Ivankov would have put them in their place. Also, what was that about Jimbei thinking of Arlong? Does he know Luffy beat him?

EDIT: Okay, apparently, the scanlation mistranslated Jimbei thinking of Arlong. Jimbei wants to thank and apologize to Luffy about Arlong, but feels it would be inappropriate for now. I'm seriously thinking Jimbei's going to join the crew post-Marineford. He's a wanted criminal now and he has a lot of respect for Luffy.

It'd probably be more appropriate (and awesome to read) for Jimbei to apoligize to Nami.

Also, it occurs to me that whatever embarassing secret Ivankov has on Crocodile is...Crocodile used to be a woman until she met Ivankov. Or something like that.

Yeah, I think Jimbei will apologize to Nami, as well. He's too honorable and humble not to.

As for Croc's secret, that'd be hysterical, but I don't think it's so much a secret as it is a weakness. I don't think him originally being a girl would be a weakness.

I actually hated this reveal. The way it was done (20 month pregnancy?) felt heavy handed. I also don't like that Ace and Luffy LOOK like brothers, both are men of D and both have narcolepsy. . .but aren't related. And why would Roger give his son to his greatest enemy? It just felt wrong.

Everything else, though, is awesome.

All men of D seem to have that Narcolepsy, even Blackbeard exhibits it sometimes.

Well, if Luffy's father is truly Gol Roger as well, making them brothers again, I still think Roger is trying to do something, and using his sons as distractions.

Which goes along with my whole theory that Dragon is specifically throwing Luffy around to places to screw with the Marines, and to make his crew alot stronger.

I really hope Luffy's father isn't Roger. Or that there's going to be a reveal where Dragon is actually Roger.

I can live with Ace being Roger's son. I may not like it, but I'm sure Oda can take the story in interesting directions because of it. Luffy being Roger's son, I think, would take away from what makes Luffy unique in the first place. People would just say "Oh, of course he's going to be Pirate King. His father was!" At least Ace's motivation is different, so as not to be overshadowed by Roger.

I do think Dragon is manipulating Luffy and his crew, though. And I think, eventually, Luffy and Dragon are going to have a confrontation about it.

So if Dragon and Roger are different people, then maybe Dragon is using his sons to distract everyone from the location of One Piece, so he can get it himself.

Hrm, I don't think so. Dragon isn't a pirate. He's a revolutionary. He doesn't want to be the Pirate King, he wants to topple the World Government.

It's possible that he's supporting Luffy because he has a knack for destabilizing the WG. Plus, if Luffy does become the Pirate King, it would make the Revolutionaries unstoppable. Luffy commanding the pirates at sea, with Dragon commanding the armies on land. Plus, Luffy has a crewmate that is the only person in the world that can decipher the Rio Poneglyph at Raftel, revealing the True History. Which would further destabilize the WG.

Unless Dragon wants the One Piece to fund the revolution, but I somehow doubt Dragon is hurting for resources.
