Re: Nintendo Wii - discussion & more.
cool metroid actually looks good and hate FPS.
I thought it looked great on the Gamecube as well. I'm sure MP3 will be much better in terms of graphics, and the gameplay with the new Wiimote could easily make this the best Metroid game ever.
I'm not saving for the Wii i have the money to get a couple right now it's just i don't want it THAT much. would rather get new pc ect....
It isn't a matter of saving money for me, just a matter of interest. Its actually been Metroid games which have prompted me to buy my last three Nintendo systems. I only got the Gamecube to play the Prime games, the Gameboy Advance to play Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission, and now the DS to play MP - Hunters. And it will mainly be MP3 that'll get me to buy a Wii.

In the United States, the wait for the Wii now will be a while... New shipments won't be in until March, I hear. Good thing Santa was good to me this year, huh?
Lucky dog. Enjoy it, I look forward to the day when I buy one...which all depends on MP3's release date.
I was actually talking about the Metroid game for the Gamecube, DiB.
Ok. I kind of figured that, hence me asking. I figured the first actual Metroid on NES was a bit before your time.
It was too frustrating, especially with the bosses and stuff... For the sake of the next generation and the new Wii controls, I will probably check out Corruption, though... I have high hopes for the Wii.
Sorry you didn't like it. Metroid games are definitly particular to a certain type of game player. Mainly those that generally don't like linear gameplay and enjoy searching for items, power-ups, etc. The lack of multi-player to almost all Metroids (except MP2 and MP - Hunters) makes sense given the types of games they are, like I said.
The bosses are definitly challenging, and can take several attempts or more in most cases to get past, but eventually you'll pick up on a pattern and strategy and finish them. Patience, skill, and curiosity are both key in playing Metroid games (usually, anyway).
I hope you like MP3, though.
