Lost *spoilers*

Episode 3.01: A Tale of Two Cities (Kate-centric)
Airdate: October 4, 2006

07/29 - This episode will be Kate-centric and have flashbacks featuring a 60-year-old motherly, warm, and funny woman as well as handsome twenty-year-old Karl. Source: SpoilerFix.com [Note: The role of Amelia, posted in the General Season 3 spoilers on July 14, may now be part of Kate's flashback.]
07/21 - During an interview Carlton Cuse revealed: We pick up where we left off, but obviously there are different stories on different parts of the island, and, you know, we will get to all of them in the first few episodes. But like last year, we didn't deal with the raft survivors in the first episode. Not everything is going to be answered in the first episode. But the captivity story [with Jack, Kate and Sawyer] will definitely be addressed. Source: The Ausiello Report

Episode 3.02: Further Instructions (Claire-centric)
Airdate: October 11, 2006

08/09 - It's Claire-centric and her flashback features Mike and Jan, a hippie-ish couple in their 50's. They are warm and kind, but also tough and protective when the situation calls for it. Source: secretagentman @ TWOP

Looks like the list of episode spoilers we got a while back were poop after all. :)

Yeah, I'm always surprised where they take Claire... Can't wait.

I'm only surprised she's getting an episode so early on in Season 3...I figured Jack, Sawyer, or even Locke was a more likely choice, especially Locke given his unknown status after the Season 2 finale. Looking forward to them either way. More new Lost is never a bad thing, in my opinion. At least not yet.

Well, I thought it was odd for Michael to get an episode so early in season 2, despite the fact that his son was taken by the Others.

See, the fact Walt got taken in the S1 finale kind of implied to me we'd be seeing a Michael-centric episode real soon in S2, and we did. However, there's not a whole lot of carry-over plotline involving Claire from S2 to imply the same thing. I suppose it could be focusing on her and Charlie's romance, or the baby, etc.

Yes, it's most likely going to focus on the romance of it all... It's kind of an anticlimatic thing if you think about, considering how much we were fed with the Season 2 finale. I want me some Eko!

At the Season 2 DVD launch party, they announced that Season 3 will be 23 episodes. (6 in '06, 17 in '07, yadda yadda yadda.) Here's hoping that the 23rd episode will be two hours!

Most likely it will be...

By the way, here's the summary of the first episode of Season 3 (courtesy of epguides.com/tv.com):

Jack, Kate and Sawyer must deal with their pasts, as they are held captive by "The Others" in mysterious prisons which remind them of their pre-island lives. Meanwhile, on the other side of the island, Bernard and Charlie attempt to re-establish leadership in a panicked camp, and Rose becomes concerned about the situation in the hatch

Sounds pretty interesting...what we're probably all expecting, but with that extra twist (the mysterious prisons they're held in reminding them of their pre-island lives)...this to me seems to indicate the Others have an extensive knowledge of the castaways, from even before the crash...smells like a conspiracy to me.

Episode 3.03: The Glass Ballerina (Sun/Jin(?)-centric)
Airdate: October 18, 2006

08/18 - Sun has a dream of her future, featuring her 9 year old daughter. Source: secretagentman @ TWOP

General Season 3 spoilers:

08/19 - According to pictures that leaked on the net, there will be a flashback where Jack performs the Heimlich manoeuvre on a little blond girl in a park. Source: Dryope [Note: This flashback was surely shooted out of order to accomodate Matthew Fox who is rumored to have asked time off (to shoot another movie?).]
08/18 - Jack was just shooting a flashback all decked out in his hospital scrubs. Kate will be making a choice in the first six episodes. Jack is inside something you'd find in a science class. Kate is on something we've seen before. And Sawyer is surrounded by something through which he shares a connection with Jack's father. Source: Kristin on E!Online

Very interesting...though incredibly vague...usual Lost news it is!

I wonder if, in nine years, they will be off the island... A glimpse into the future will be as interesting as seeing what has been going on off the island. Personally, I can't wait to see what Jin and Sun's episode have in store!

Also... Is Jack going to be in Thailand at all this season? We learned he was there getting inked up... But we haven't seen why he was there... Hmm...

Can't wait until October...

i really ****in hate hurley
kill him off and give his screen time to guys like Locke and eko

Really good, relevant rant right there... I can understand that when there's been a Hurley episode or Hurley news for that matter... But there's been nothing about Hurley except for they're making an action figure of him. :)

is that right im hearing the figures will have sounds? quotes from the show?
sorry about the random rant. i do that a lot
