The comic-con panel really makes it seem like there is something of a reboot... But I think they are only trying to deceive us.

I completely agree. I just can't believe the timeline will be rebooted, because not only has the timeline shown that Jack and company were always there, but seeing what happened to Chang's arm, and the survival of Radnisky showed everything that was meant to happen. But the writers always debunked the Purgatory theory stating "That there are life and death consequences on the island, what happens does matter" having a reset button would negate a lot of that meaning. Plus with only 18 hours left they still have a lot of ground to cover to be wasting half a season reuniting the cast from their alternative lives. But at Comic Con they did say they have a new storytelling device for the final season, so Alternative flashes? Doubtful.
 
I am hoping there is no alternative flashes... It would essentially be filler and that's not something that this show needs. At least, at this point. I find it hard to believe that they can satisfy everyone with the time that they have left if the story were to be told from a point A that lead to a point B. Time is of the essence on this show. I do, however, have faith in the powers that be, so we'll see how it all pans out.

I agree.

Also they've released part 2 of the Mysteries of the universe thing. It's much like the Flight 815 conspiracy from season 4 dvd. Pretty interesting how they take such an objective look at their concept.

I hope they are not trying to introduce aliens into the mix... These videos will probably help to shape DHARMA for the fans that'll ask the more in depth questions about its inner-workings... But I hope they don't go too far with them.

They're definitely not introducing aliens, there simply looking at Dharma, and what a conspiracy theorist would think given certain evidence. Area 51 being a usual hot spot for theorist to tie everything they can into

especially since they use actual characters (Phil who interviewed for a security job)
