Justice League Unlimited

Jennifer Hale voices her.

Jennifer Hale's voice is hawt

I simply have a fasciantion with red heads.
Jennifer Hale is not a redhead.

Back in the 20th century, pictures of VO artists were scarce, but I found a picture of her. Don't know what she looks like now, but yes she was hot in that picture.

Yeah....I looked up who did Giganta's VO and then searched for Jennifer Hale images. I was suprised to find her as hot as her characters.

Hell, I didn't even know Cree Summer, another prolific voice actress, was black until last year.

See....now that I've always known. But mainly because I remember her from TV's "Different World".

I just watched the first season of this over the last few weeks. I'd never seen it before, though I had watched a few of the Justice League episodes prior to Unlimited.

It was one of the best shows I've ever seen, bar none. It was funny, exciting, touching, the twists were great (Brainiac!), everything about it was perfect.

It's totally put Dwayne McDuffie on short list fo writers I have to read. I can't believe I was so relatively unfamiliar with his work before.

Seriously---JLU is the greatest cartoon I've ever seen. I'm serious. There hasn't been anything better in the history of ever.

I mean there are other toons that are great and hold a special place in my heart (I'm talking about you Bionic 6---can I get a high five? Anyone?) ....but JLU just blows them all outta the water.

From crisp animation....to perfect voice acting....to gripping storytelling. It is the be all end all of cartoons.

Now I know that Family Guy and JLU are 2 totally different beasts...so you can't really compare the 2. But when you compare every action/superhero/adventure cartoon against JLU...they all fall short.

I cannot begin to express the love I have for this show.

Ugh. . . now you want to make me rush out and buy season 2!

But I just ordered Absolute New Frontier. . . non-comic spending budget. . . bursting. . .

EDIT: I'm aware New Frontier is a comic, but I meant monthly. I'll spend whatever it takes at the comic store every week, the rest of my "fun money" is just whatever I have left. Which this week is zero, unfortunately.

Stupid $3.50 and more books.

Love the JLU. The Batman: TAS is the best cartoon ever (except maybe, the Simpsons seasons 3-7), and JLU is a great successor to it.

Don't get your hopes too high. Dwayne McDuffie may have had a front role in story and script development, but television is a collaborative medium and scripts are usually done by team --- something that everyone on the Dini/Timmverse team would admit.

As such, Dwayne's actual solo writing career is a mixed bag. He's done some great stuff, but he's done some absolute crap as well. I honestly get the feeling he's a better leader than he is a writer, otherwise he wouldn't have written the embarassment that barely passes for a story for Justice League: Heroes.

His first two issues of Fantastic Four have both been really good.

Never said he's never written anything good.

I did like the first few issues of Icon that I read from DC's old Milestone imprint.

Oh god, that shows my age doesn't it?
