Justice League: To the silver screen!

American Heroes sounds like the production name of the film... Not a very original one, but something so that they can operate under the radar a bit.

I sincerely doubt they'd title it that.

You're referring to the practice of fake names for shooting location forms and film can distribution yes?

Now that the cat is out of the bag, I doubt they'll be able to operate under the radar anymore.

Accepting the fact that this film being made is now a lot more of a probability than before, how would you lead it from here? What I mean is, given the resources and age-range of the actors, what would you make the film into?

The first thing I think is that this film definitely needs a main character. It can't just be about the whole team; a certain amount of focus has to be directed onto one character. If it were me, it'd be the Flash.

I'd have him as a relatable, funny, young-ish character, who saves everyone in the end, like in Divided we Fall. You can't do Batman as the main character, because it would seem too much like Wolverine in X-Men. You can't do Superman as the main character because "he's too perfect, blah, blah, age-old argument, blah, blah,". GL wouldn't work because he just plain old deserves his own film.

Thoughts?

When I'm about 50 years old, I'm 24 now, and a successful film maker I'm going to go to DC and beg them to let me have control over their line. I'd make around 15 movies in about a 10 year period. Starting from the beginning and not using any of the previous films continuity. I'd have one, two, or three films on each of the big seven and then have two or three Justice League movies. It's going to be glorious. Just wait 25 or so years and you will all have your wishes. I promise.

Hah. Good luck with that.

Or alternatively, you could go to Japan and do that now.

Good luck trying to convince Warner bros to finance pretty much only in comic book films for a decade, I'm sure they'll go for it.

In 25 years films will be insanely cheap and quick to make by today's standards. I'm not saying it won't be hard, but it will be awesome.
That's right you best boys and key grips and boom mike people!!! y'all all be out of work! We won't need any of yous!

From IESB: So what's the final verdict on Justice League? I was having dinner this evening when I got a call from one of our moles over at Warner Bros. who told us, "Justice League has been pushed back to at least April or May and possibly a start date as late as June or July…that is of course if the movie doesn't get scrapped altogether."

Yes. YES.

Let's just regroup here...

You want a JLA movie with a load of 22-year olds playing the heroes? You want a Justice League movie where the emphasis is put on the word 'comic'? You want a film about the greatest heroes on Earth to be 'rushed into production'? You want a DC movie that has the potential to easily jeopardize the future of the Batman and Superman solo movies?

Really?

I didn't think so.

No , read the whole message I replying with a joke as it said mole in it

This really seems like it's going to go down in movie history as one of those disasterous productions that goes through a bunch of horribly disorganized fiascos during every stage of its making, all the while frittering its budget up to 250 million dollars and opens a critically and culturally derided bomb that grosses less than half its price tag and goes on to be joked about in infamy for the next 5 decades.

Cleopatra with capes, they'll say!
