Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

I think that last handful of episodes have not been up to par with the first three seasons.

Too many refrences to previous episodes, way too much Robin Canadian-ness. . . these are all crutches that the writers fall back on in lieu of new jokes.

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

I don't even like that Robin is still on the show.

The parts of last nights episode that didn't deal with Ted and Robin were great. The rest was meh.

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

Well Robin is never going to leave the show. She's a part of their (the whole group) family.

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

I am just glad the show stayed out of the "will they/won't they" trap.

It scared me at first when they kissed and cut to commercial. I was like "OH COME THE **** ON! AR WE BACK ON THIS AGAIN?!?!". But then we see that it was a mistake.

Like Houde said, the show focused on a hidden relationship between Ted and Robin. Not the hidden relationship of secret bf/gf stuff.....but the idea that 2 people can remain friends after a big break up ater a long relationship. It's an uncommon thing that couples have similar friends. How does a dynamic like that work? I know I don't remain friends with my ex. Any of them.

But for her to continue on in the show/story....there needs to be something there for them to work with.

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

I'm still friends with my last ex-girlfriend, and even though she's insane, it isn't weird at all.

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

Did you guys notice, though, that the first slap they showed Marshall do wasn't the actual first slap of the slap bet? Error!

WAYNE RETURNS!

Though of course his first appearance was better, this wasn't an appearance that really warranted the amount of screen time as before. Still, glad he was back for the flashbacks.

I remember the producers saying we were going to see the story behind Barney and Rhonda, but I didn't know it was today's episode. It fit well with why they went to the Victoria's Secret after-party, which I wish we had more of.

RHONDA!

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

The whole Robin/women looking ugly at the gym thing is totally true.

As is the "investing" part. I've totally done that. Many times. No matter how much weight they lose...they still **** like fat girls. And fat girls **** for keeps!

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

December 11th's episode:

"The Platinum Rule"

Ted asks his doctor on a date and his friends try to discourage him from going out with someone he sees regularly recalling their own horror stories of bad experiences.

The whole Robin/women looking ugly at the gym thing is totally true.
Is it weird that I still found her totally hot?

Yes.

Oddly enough....I don't think I've ever really found Robin hot. Or Lily.

Now Victoria and the Spoiler Alert Girl? Oh yeah......
I always find Robin hot. Lily...not really, I guess. Obviously I don't mean she's ugly.

Victoria and Spoiler Alert Girl? Hells. Yes.

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

Robin is hot sometimes, but I would say that Lilly is hotter on average.
