You guys have weird editions. Ours don't have tables of contents, and we also have smaller, more elegant print, because we're not 8 years old.
Canada/UK > troglodytes.

SHe's stated she's had most of the detail written before hand for the major plots. She obvioulsy knew the Siruis Black was going to be in the later ones, and dropped his name. She does this an amazing amount of times in the book.
I am kind of put off by the deaths in this one. I hear that there will be two... And who could those deaths belong to? Voldemort, and who else? Harry? If not Voldemort, there's no resolution... You, see... Really, there's only one mysterious death and, if it's Harry, I'll only be disappointed that she didn't kill off another character instead...
Yeah, I just read the chapter where Harry gets his wand and they mention James' wand was especially good for transfiguration. It's cool.
I admit, every time a book makes a reference to some small little thing in a previous book I get the feeling she "lucked into" it, but I guess I'll have to rethink that.
WEll, the wizard that Vernon runs into on his way to work on the first chapter of the first book is one of the wizards that comes to rescue HArry in the beginning of the fifth book.
I like those little things too
She has also said that Aunt Petunia will not exhibit any magic in this book.
So, theories. What do you all think is up with Aunt Petunia? Rowling said she wasn't a Squib, although that was a very good guess.
Perhaps she was a witch that got kicked out? She now pretends she is a muggle?
Or maybe Dumbledore took them away as future leverage to make her take Harry in.

She's not a witch, she just hated her sister for being a witch and being special in their eyes. She obviously knew about wizards and witches, and she knew about Dumbledore, but only through Lily.
I think she does nothing in this book, except maybe offer Harry 'Good Luck'.
Now, Dudley on the other hand I see being important in the final book, just cause I think it would be cool seeing him boxing death eaters as HArry runs away from Privet Drive.
But PEtunia, she ain't nothing special
Jo Rowling said:..there is a little bit more to Aunt Petunia than meets the eye...She is not a squib, although that is a very good guess. Oh, I am giving a lot away here. I am being shockingly indiscreet.

I think I remember J.K. Rowling saying we'll find out what Dudley's worst memory was that he was forced to remember during the dementor attack in Book Five.
