Kind reminds me of the the B-Movie Mosquito. which was... actually, I think calling it awful would be an insult to awful things everywhere.

I actually like that mainly because the natural texture of the bug makes the "suit" look more like how a green lantern uniform should look. Basic green and black in a simple geometric design. Not some crappy "venom-spawn hybrid rubber muscle suit" look we've seen before.

Hmm. My bet is they somehow work in elements of Rebirth into Hal's origin instead, so they can have the big battle from the end of Rebirth.

This makes sense, really, because Rebirth effectively rebooted the comics so it might as well be the jumping-off point of the movies even if they're focused on the origin.

Yeah, he's been the villain for a while. I think that it's probably going to be some sort of thing where he possesses Hector Hammond, making him evil. But that's just a guess.

It's not bad. Same design as the ring and Hal's suit, so if you didn't like those you're probably not going to like this. Looks alien and old, which is what I think they're going for.

I swear to God my grandmother has a lamp from the 60's that looks literally identical to that (minus the lampshade).

The fact that there's a microwave and stove in the background makes me think even more I'm seeing a re-modeled version of my grandparents' house.

Does this mean Hal is going to keep the GL Power Battery next to his blender?

I havn't been paying as much attention to GL as I should, but have they stated when sometype of trailer is going to be released? I think the project is already in post-production.
