Re: Green Lantern-the Movie
Well that's just the most adorable thing I've ever seen. I actually clapped a bit when Reynolds waved his ring back at the kid. I felt a bit bad for laughing as hard as I did at that fanboy who asked the next question and the answer it got.
The excellent Q&A from SDCC
My favourite parts:
Q: Mark, you can talk about how you prepared to play Sinestro?
Mark Strong: I'm not sure you prepare for villains necessarily. You prepare for a character. I suppose the way I look at villains is that nobody is born evil.
YES! I love this. It shows that he's taking the character seriously. I was turned off The Incredible Hulk as soon as Tim Roth said "You can't take these things that seriously. Just say the lines in a way that sound cool."
Q: There's a lot of talk about building to a bigger DC Universe on film. How did this affect the development of this film?
Campbell: No, I don't think [they affect it] at all. I think we stand absolutely on our own and we stand as our own superhero, our own story. And a terrific story it is.
Again, I'm delighted that they actually seem to care about the development of this particular franchise, rather than making another "filler movie" like Marvel keep doing.
Can't wait for this.
