I can understand why they'd want to cast some one that was kinda youngish. I mean in the comics you can keep a character the same age for a long time. They don't age...you can draw them the same way for a long while. Actor's age, so if you are looking at it as a franchise you are going to want to get someone that can play the part for a while. Maybe I'm just playing devil's advocate, but I think if a "young" actor can bring maturity to the role it shouldn't matter if he's a bit younger than he is in the comics. I don't think that mid to late twenties is too young for Hal Jordan.

Shawn Roberts looks better off as Kyle Rayner. I imagine Jordan being someone older, i mean the guy starts off as an accomplished pilot right? Don't know if that's right.
