Detective Comics" and "Batman" aren't the only titles going on a short sabbatical while another title takes their place. It looks like yes, "The Flash" will also disappear, replaced by the previously announced "Flash Rebirth" mini-series, before kicking off again with a new Flash series. With a new Flash.

I hear Ivan Brandon is working on a "Faces of Evil" one-shot for DC, plus a new ongoing series spinning out of "Final Crisis."

Penciller Stuart Sayger has finished up on DC's "Bionicles" series and Pop Mhan will take over

So, yes, the cancellation of "Nightwing" and "Robin" hit this week, as LITG predicted, as well as "Birds Of Prey," as not LITG predicted.

I still understand that the first two titles will be replaced by "Red Robin" and "Robin And Batman," as the "Batman" and "Detective Comics" series are replaced by the Morrison-written "Battle For The Cowl" series, which now appears to be bi-weekly.

Maybe the rumoured "Bad Girls Of Gotham" starring Harley Quinn and Catwoman will take the place of "Birds Of Prey?"

I do now also hear that there will be a new Batman monthly series to launch later next year, however.
 
It's good to know that Morrison is writing Battle Of The Cowl. I did not know that.

Red Robin seems to be the new Ronin, first it was Dick Grayson in Kingdom Come, Jason Todd in Countdown, I have no who in Robin currently, and knows who it will end up being.


I wonder if Ivy will be part of this Bad Girls series. Catwoman and Harley is odd, unless Holly becomes Catwoman again.
 
Red Robin is going to be so dumb. Jason Todd is wasted already and bringing this Kingdom Come character into the current universe is lame.
 
According to Lying in the Gutters, Final Crisis is being rewritten because the ending is not liked. What the ****? It's a bit late, isn't it? It's been written for like 2 years and now they change the ending? What is going on?

Apparently James Robinson and Dan Didio have argued and Robinson is leaving Superman, presumably leaving it in Johns's hands. I'm not sure what's going to happen to his JL and JSA projects.

No one knows who is writing Battle for the Cowl. Morrison, Winick, TONY DANIEL?!

If these things come true... Jesus. I've gave Didio the benefit of the doubt for a while now, but this is just terrible. I hate comic companies and editors and this ****ing bastard medium.

It's OMD all over again! You'd think DC would have learned from Marvel's mistake.

This is a MUCH bigger deal than One More Day... And if Morrison really leaves DC, that ****s over a lot that's been on the docket for a long while now... It almost definitely would kill the next Seaguy arc... and maybe even his involvement on the WE3 movie.

Not to mention all the Batman stuff... Ugh. Please let this not be the case.
