If there's a 2022 date in one of these projects, we'd immediately concede to your point of view. At least I would.
It's only okay when you do it, I see I see. Good thing I'm a good sport and like to see different points of view.Honestly didn't recall which came first, but noted.
TBH if it's like the Bayverse example where it clearly cannot fit in the same universe but we're pushing it in there, I can see why a warring thread (which I made) occurs.
Same here. But given this isn't the DCEU and potentially the first official date we get for Gunn's Present Day, I'm not going to throw away a date that could fit in this new universe. If there's a 2022 date in one of these projects, we'd immediately concede to your point of view. At least I would.
We talk about our beef with the MCU wiki compared to the MCU timeline here all the time. It's only okay when you do it, I see I see. Good thing I'm a good sport and like to see different points of view.
I mean we all have disagreements over things. As long as everyone is respectful, I don't see the issue with discussion over differing viewpoints. We talk about our beef with the MCU wiki compared to the MCU timeline here all the time.
I think the MCU wiki is pretty good mostly, and I appreciate the time they put into it.We talk about our beef with the MCU wiki compared to the MCU timeline here all the time.
I respect the work they do just as much as what we do. Even if I sometimes have an occasional disagreement.I think the MCU wiki is pretty good mostly, and I appreciate the time they put into it.
I really believe The Batman will be folded into the DCU. Gunn doesn't want to risk the comparisons between his Batman and this already popular and well established one. It just makes sense to make The Batman the first DCU movie, like Batman (1989) is now the first DCEU film.In other news:
The Batman 2 Delayed to 2027
The Batman 2 has been delayed yet again and will now be releasing in 2027 instead of its previously announced 2026 release date.comicbook.com
BobaTalks, who definitely has someone from DC Studios talking to him, said he knows for a fact something involving The Batman: Part II is happening but he won't report on it. I'm guessing it's something big like that, yeah.I really believe The Batman will be folded into the DCU. Maybe it's my definition of "about" but when Rick Flag Sr. says it's been "about 2 years" since his son died, I took that as "2 months but less than 24 months".I think The Suicide Squad being set in 2020 is fine on the DCEU timeline. Anyway, if The Suicide Squad is 2021 in the DCU, then Creature Commandos could be 2.5 years later in 2024 perhaps. Too early to tell.
Well, the thing is, everything in the DCU is different to the DCEU. In the DCEU, The Suicide Squad is technically a consequence of Henry Cavill's Superman as it follows on from Suicide Squad (2016). In the DCU, we have a completely different history to the one before. So, before during and after The Suicide Squad is completely different depending on the universe, and even the film itself isn't technically an exact match.I guess it's not impossible in the DCU version Waller waits several more months to send Task Force X to Corto Maltese.
I'm thinking...
In all fairness, if it's not made clear in the film how long after Creature Commandos it is, I don't think it matters too much and as long as Creature Commandos is before, it fits.It really depends on Superman at this point. When Rick Flag Sr shows up he's gonna need to say "I've been the head of ARGUS for [ ] months / [ ] year(s)" or something along those lines for me to get a year down.
