random reply, but Congorilla is actually a very old character in DC. He initally debuted as "Congo Bill" in 1940 who was a sort of wildness adventurer type hero. In 1959 the character was revamped into "congorilla" when he found a magic ring that would allow him to switch bodies with a giant golden gorilla whenever he wanted it.

since then he has been hovering around the perphieries of DC canon. Actually he could currently be Robins babysitter for all I know I dont follow the comics that closely anymore

Based on the fact that 1.) there is no concrete proof to say it's 2023 and 2.) It puts it before the DCEU/DCU switcharoo/reset created by Flashpoint.

Since the BB movie isn't DCU canon but it mostly is, like Peacemaker s1 and TSS.

They reference the Justice League pre-cameo. I don't really think we can say that literally every single detail is canon except the cameo, I think that S1 happened in the DCU but is only directly canon in the DCEU.
