DC Extended Universe / DC Universe - Timeline

There is any particular incident being referenced here that I don't know about?
This:
I look at it as Gunn being respectful of others' opinions not being an elitist asshole like a lot of creators (*cough*GregWeisman*cough*)
Plus the fact he is a continuity elitist to the point where he's gotten really nasty and mean towards certain, passionate fans.
Also, he is good buddies with a fan of his (GregXB), who is an even bigger sycophant and asshole who hates other people's opinions.

GregXB, if you don't know, thought Ultimate Spider-Man fans deserved to be threatened and harassed by the Spectacular fanbase because he saw Ultimate fans' tastes as inferior and Spectacular's as objective.

A lot of people are wondering what's canon in the new DC. As far as I can tell, it's The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker . Is that true? What can you guys say about that?

GUNN: Well, it's whatever we mention in anything. [Laughs] Listen, Peacemaker is pretty easy. Peacemaker Season 1 is basically canon outside of the appearance of the Justice League at the end, which you'll see something about that in Peacemaker Season 2. Suicide Squad is probably a little bit looser. We know that Rick Flag Sr. is angry because his son was killed by Peacemaker, so we know that situation happened in the past, we have something to refer to to think of what it might be like that that happened, but that exists as canon because it was mentioned in Creature Commandos , not necessarily because it existed in Suicide Squad . I think of Suicide Squad and Peacemaker as pretty unreliable memories of what happened in the DCU.

Around 13 minutes in, Frank Grillo says that the Rick Flag Sr we see in Superman (2025) is "at a different point in his professional career" than we will see him in Peacemaker season 2.

What does that mean? Superman is set in 2010 or something?

Watching the premiere for Creature Commandos.
Rick Flag Sr. says 2 years passed since his son died, so this is 2022 as opposed to 2021.

ep 1 gi robot says hes been waiting to kill nazis for 74 years, 23 days, 52 minutes, if we take that to mean the end of the war in europe (05/08/1945) plus 74 years 23 days we get 05/30/2019… maybe hes referring to a different date that hes been waiting since?

other than the dates in the frankenstein flashbacks, we learn that rick flag jr was born when sr was 18, then enlisted in the army when he (jr) was 18 and sr was 36, so if we assume jr was around kinnaman's age when he died in the suicide squad (40 in 2020), we can say sr is around 60 years old here

this to me also makes it seem like creature commandos could now be being framed as happening in 2019 with the gi robot date; too early to tell for now id say

also i think its safe to say that any appearances of team waller post-peacemaker wont be referred back to (black adam, shazam 2)

The last known Nazi deaths would have be the Auschwitz trials of January 1948.
The final one being late January of that year.

late-February 2022 sounds about right for Creature Commandos.

EDIT: There were some following trials spread out over 20+ more years, but those surpass the 74 year period. So it's fair to assume, for now, GI Robot had his duty after the Auschwitz trailers in early 1948.

Comic-Twitter is saying "Argentina" and I guess that's true that G.I. Robot killed some that tried to flee after the war.
