Cloverfield (Spoilers!)

Re: JJ Abrams' "Cloverfield"

 I gotta say, the novelty HAS worn off. I want to know what's up with this movie now. NOW.

Re: JJ Abrams' "Cloverfield"

The movie is titleless, plotless and six months away and already the hype is making me start to get tired of it. That's gotta be a record.

Not me , But that's because I'm not paying attention to hype untill they tell us what it is or show trailer with title.

It'd be cooler NOT to know what's up with the movie and go into the theatre in January knowing nothing that I didn't see in the first trailer, which, I think, may have been the point of the unique add campaign.

I'm just tired of all this. People are now flipping out over how cool a movie is that they know nothing about, and spending hours picking apart blurred photographs, desperately looking for answers.

Wait a day and let the girl invite you in for the whole package. Don't blast taft to sideboob photos because you can't hold your wad. You'll just ruin it.

The lead singer of Yellowcard is the bartender in the trailer. Anyone else that knows them realize that?

We know plenty about the film, it's a monster movie filmed from the perspective of a hand held camera. I love that concept. The original hype was that people thought it was just a trailer from something they knew about, that there was a deep mystery there. But now that has died down. Still there is a plot and I am interested

That's my point, though. We know about the stuff in your first line from the trailer, but we don't know anything about the mystery, and I think it's much cooler to keep it that way until I actually see the film, so I'll be just as baffled as the people whose perspective we'll be seeing this from, which, I think, is the whole point.

Well people didnt initially know that when the trailer came out, they probably assumed it was footage that will not be in the actual film but clever footage to promote the film. The trailer is pretty much designed for people to speculate, even though it is something original. You cant blame them

Re: JJ Abrams' "Cloverfield"

This comes out on my 17th birthday.

Neat.

and if this turns out to be the next howard the duck or catwoman your birthday will be cursed and I demand you change it

Re: JJ Abrams' "Cloverfield"

Trailer is online, when you try to goto the official site you get redirected to paramnot's site, you click on the cloverfield and you go to a new website sans pictures with the poster as the wallpaper.

Watching it again I have regained my full anticipation for this movie

The hype is done. I'm ready for some real stuff to chew on. A real trailer, a cast list, and, oh yea, a TITLE.

Re: JJ Abrams' "Cloverfield"

Ain't it cool news has a rumored description of a new trailer, a rumored idea of what the monster is and apparently if you stay at the official site for six minutes you'll hear the roar.

I don't like the whole she's bitten thing, too zombie-like and we've had enough of that also the monster description sounds stupid.
