Celebrity Deaths (updated weekly)

When my family was talking about Paul Newman's death, I went to the fridge and found the bottle of Newman's Own salsa that we had and walked into the room holding it up and pretending to weep.

I do the same thing when I wear my Heath Ledger Joker shirt.

Once again, me: terrible person.

I loved his stuff.... read Jurassic Park in 7th grade and it was one of the coolest books I've ever read and I already loved the movie so much, but it was better in a lot of ways. Read Congo the next year too and it was amazing too. My two best friends and I all read each of them at the same time and they became the source of years worth of huge running gags for us.

Did you guys know he was 6' 9" tall? I found that out a few years ago and was stunned...

Anyway, yeah.... he will be missed. One of the key sci-fi authors of our time.
 
Oliver Postgate, creator of some of the best kids TV ever made including Bagpuss, The Clangers and Ivor the Engine. Tributes and stories have been pouring in to the BBC, where most of his work was shown from the 1950s to the present day.

One of my idols, Bettie Page, passed away in LA after a massive heart attack.
