Bendis: "I smell an Ultimate Deadpool comin’"

Come to think of it, Ultimate Deadpool's philosophy (mutants should earn their powers) isn't too different from Apocalypse's "survival of the fittest" creed. Maybe Ultimate Deadpool is some how connected to Ultimate Apocalypse? I don't recall Deadpool or the other Reavers saying who turned them into cyborgs... bum-bum-bum.

...

You've been talking to Bendis, haven't you?

If I were, Ultimate Deadpool would be better, lol.

Also, remember that huge confusion before the Ultimate Deadpool arch as to whether or not Deadpool's team was called the "Reavers" or the "Marauders"?
Say, maybe Deadpool's gonna be a Horseman?

Sinister = Death?
Deadpool = War?

Really, dude. No more calls to Bendis.

I think that Bendis created Deadpool, thinking that making him a mutant-hating-cyborg-assasin-guy would be an interesting new angle. And it wasn't soon enough though, I believe (hope) that DP will be fleshed out and made more interesting, be it in USM or UXM.

I think Ultimate Deadpool is a mutant, they even hinted to this saying that he survived "death-defying" battles in the Wakandan war. And after Shadowcat made him explode, he's shown being intact (albeit shadowed).

How did Ultimate Deadpool become a cyborg if he heals rapidly?
Well, I think his healing is like a river. If you abstruct the stream, the water will flow around the obstruction.
His healing factor isn't going to heal cybernetics. So after he blew up, his body was free to heal correctly.

Well then why would a group of mutant-haters be so loyal to a mutant?
I think they explained their philosophy. It's not that they hate mutants, they just think that it isn't right that any punk can have powers, and that they should earn those powers.
Deadpool's their commanding officer, saying that they've fought in wars together. So to them, Deadpool "earned" his powers.

I'm thinking X-Men and Spider-Man may have proved to Deadpool that they earned their powers, so any future interactions between them may be very different.

The Morbius arc can be summarized as "Ben Urich is attacked by vampires. Morbius tries to save him and Peter accidentally gets in the way."

The Hollywood arc can be summarized as "A Spider-Man movie is made. Doc Ock attacks the set. Peter tries to stop him but is kidnapped. He escapes and when he gets home, he learns that Gwen figured out who he is. They reach an understanding."

The first arc can be summarized as "Peter gets powers from Norman Osborn. He uses them selfishly until his Uncle Ben dies because he didn't stop a thief, then he becomes Spider-Man. Norman Osborn turns into a monster and Spider-Man beats him down."

The Deadpool arc can be summarized as "Peter is dating Kitty Pryde. She and the other X-men are kidnapped by Deadpool and his Reavers using shapeshifting powers. Peter is also kidnapped. They fight on an island until the Reavers are beaten and they escape."

Oh wait, that's not a summary. That's actually everything that happened.

Deadpool's not a mutant. "Death-defyining" was no hint. Just words to hype his character within the book.

The Ultimate universe is about taking different twists with old things, so what if Ultimate Deadpool is actually a mutant? That would be a hell of a twist based on his actions, and could be attributed to possible mental illnesses.

I wouldn't say it's a "hell of a twist". It would just take his 616 counterpart a little further. But even then, there's no hints as of now pointing to him being a mutant.

Heh.

I love how you guys were all hyped about Ultimate Deadpool in the beginning of this thread...just to have your meager souls stepped on by Bendis.
