Batman: The Brave and the Bold (series discussion)

Everything about this show is brilliant. I loved Silver Cyclone. So ludicrously evil, that he's quite happy with being the sole inhabitant of Earth if it means killing all humans. Terrific stuff.

Joker, you are an evil, homicidal maniac...and yet it so hard to not love you!

Seriously, Jeff Bennett was fantastic here.

And Owlman dressed up as Golden Age Batman was genius.

And Plastic Man finally learning how Batman "does it!"

Ok that episode was awesome. "Thank you clownface" :D

And I loved the line, "The real one will jump out of the way. ... He always does."

:D

I rewatched that episode and realized something.

Owlman pulled that "Tower of Babel" scheme where he takes files that Batman's secretly made on all his allies in case they go rogue.

Batman (in all continuities) should really hand that duty over to Green Arrow or somebody. Because it's quite obvious he sucks at it.

Wouldn't Owlman know their weaknesses anyway? He probably did the same in his world.

Equinox just screams "recurring bad guy." Which is fine, because he was interesting.

At first I was a bit put off by Aquaman being bitten by a radioactive Shinji Ikari, but then Batman teleported the moon and everything was good again.

Reading your comments on this show makes me excited. I should watch this.

Anyone got a link to the episodes online?

Found some episodes on youtube... watching the first one now. Clock King and acid traps! And then Batman recruited Blue Beetle and they went into space and fought Kanjar Ro! All of this in one episode?!

I am excited for the second now.

I just watched Terror on Dinosaur Island. Gorillas riding pteradactyls! Batgorilla! Human Grodd! Great stuff.

I also loved Plastic Man eating all the money and gold and stuff.

Okay, that is the funniest description of that episode and so perfectly accurate.

I really like that effect on Gentlemen Ghost where you see his true form whenever he's hit.

"Public Enemiy Number 342!"

Considering the old-timeyness of this show, if Huntress is Batman's daughter, then Jaime's crush on her could be hilarious.

(Also, the video is a lie. It's airing 5/8.)
