And I did not like that either. I only give Valve a pass because they only ever release new games if they do something innovative. I think they did a good job at that. Not to mention Alyx was available at least on Steam and could be used with many types of VR sets (and even had mod support, of which thanks to, you can now play through Half Life: Alyx completely without a VR headset, albeit with VERY limited functionality), while Arkham Shadow requires a completely niche headset (only supported by 2, both of them a META product), on a niche platform (META store).
I never liked exclusivity in any shape or form. This marketing strategy is disgusting to me, because it essentially makes me pay hundreds of dollars for a single product, not to mention I would hardly ever use VR for anything else. I only want it to flop because I don't want this to become a standard in the future, it can go dangerously sideways on the expense of the consumer.
